Snowz - sorry, have been out of town for a few days, so didn't see the message. I have no idea where one might find a Pizazz canopy. It's a pretty old plane.

If I was to want another, I might try to make one. Essentially a block of wood - hard balsa, etc. to the desired shape. Use a section of large soda bottles over the "plug", and then a heat gun to shrink it. Trim fit, and put on the plane. Haven't done that. However, I have used sheets of clear plastic mounted in a wood frame, and softened in an oven, the pulled down over the "plug" while still hot, to form the canopy. Or one can get fancier, and make a vacuuming forming setup. Lots of info out there about vacuum forming, which should give you ideas about how to do it, even if you just try the soda bottle method.
Easiest might be to just build a balsa framework with balsa sheeting for the canopy shape, then fill and paint. Not clear, of course, but painted a pleasing color, it would look pretty snazzy!

Hi Ted, I've been reading your stories about your Pizazz. I'm hoping you or anybody that reads the post can help me to find a canopy for a Pizazz. I bought one without a canopy thinking I could find one, but no luck so far and it's been a while since I bought it and I'm itching to fly it and don't want to fly it without the canopy. I appreciate any help that you or anyone who reads this post can help me with finding one or a good substitute for it.

    Thanks Snowz

    Hi Ted,

I am wondering what "IP Instructor" means? Can you tell me please?
I am guessing it means something to do with RC flying instructions, but that might be well off the mark.

Subject to the above, I would like to discuss with you a little problem I have around flying powered aircraft.
I destroyed my third large internal combustion engine powered scale model last weekend. 1/4 scale. Maiden flight too!

    Talk later,
