I left my road decking boards floating. Only the ramp boards are glued. I also painted the decking on mine. I have section 7 parts all printed out now, just need to find time to finish and paint them.

You are building a correct width bridge, my design is slightly wider than true scale to enable my modern tanks to use it, so you will need to resize the diagonal braces for that width. I found that they do add some measure of stability to the structure. Pythagorean has a great theorem you can use to solve that math.
I also like the ramp end piece you did. Very nice.

Reckon I'm going to call this one done - the act of sticking down the deck boards has cause a little warping and now it doesn't want to snap together as well as it used to, but I'm staring to think that maybe I don't need to clip the inboard trusses in place and can just rely on the outers holding the deck in alignment.

Did you glue the wood to the stringers?

I did not glue the wood down at all. Both my stringers and wood boards are floating. I can see where the wood could warp enough to flex the bridge, especially in a humid climate.

We also have bridges being built in Phoenix, Arizona, and Denver, Colorado now, so we will get to see how those teams do. They can post their progress here too.

I used the original gorilla glue (the brown stuff) to hold the wood to the stringers, seems to be holding quite well and more importantly stops the whole deck structure from flexing and breaking the stringers away from the beams.

Hmm. When I have the curb hooked to the transom beams it captures the stringers in the notches. I have no glue anywhere in the bridge, but I can turn it upside down and everything stays put.

The flexing you mention, is it a diagonal motion within the plane of the road deck? That kind of flexing would drive the stringers out of the notches.

Do you have the diagonal braces on the bottom of the bridge? They help a lot to dampen flexing in the plane of the road deck.

You did a 5 stringer wide bridge, and mine is a 6 stringer wide bridge, so you will need to resize those parts.

Also, the curb should hook under the transom beams like this. My tweezers are pointing to the locking tabs on the curbs being hooked under the transom beams. This should capture the wood pieces.

I'm not sharing or selling anything yet.

I have set up both FRAG and DAK with limited licenses and the stl files needed to print and build bridges for the respective clubs battlefields. I want to do some testing to see how durable these things are, and those folks will put them to the test. I've also been collaborating with EX_PAT_TANKER on various other 3d designs, so he is able to tweak the bridge design online as he pleases. Getting feedback from these folks helping me test the design is great information. When I do sell the files, I want to have most, if not all, of the kinks worked out.

Business is booming for me right now, so models are on a back burner, but I am slowly printing out Martin's 155 mm. It's impressive.

I still have hope of deploying the bridge over a live stream, but I don't know when I'll be able to pull it off. I do have the 7th section ready to paint and add to the bridge.

Olaf, that is an impressive job you are doing with your bridge design. It will be cool to see how it comes out.

I used these pictures as well. Igot the 1/35 kit from the Bronco company and I took off the bulk of it. My printer is still printing. When all the parts are printed I will continue to report.
