Control throws and rates
Hi
a question regarding tx set up and optimised throws. I get that the throws should be set up, just enough but what exactly is just enough.
how should the model behave on full aileron, elevator and rudder.
should I have a dual rate set up for say slow roll where full aileron throws gives the desired rotation speed similarly should I have a seperate set up condition for Snaps etc?

Several ways to do this. I can only tell you what works for me. I set up 3 flight conditions:
normal, most flying done here. Rates are low, very soft feel
spin, more elevator and rudder throw, less aileron so spins don’t get too fast. I also land on this flight mode.
snap, very slightly less elevator and rudder then normal mode but more aileron.
I can’t give you actual control surface movement in degree because of different designs will require different throws. I do hope this helps though.
