Welcome to the airboat forum at RCU! Some of us have been building and running airboats for some time, though activity is pretty low on the forums. Some of us are still at it though!

Default Making my own Aluminum Air Boat from scratch.

I've been working on this for a while I built the hull about 12 years ago when I was still working for California Fish & Game. I'm now 63 and thought it was time to finish it up. I have started and finished two RC sailboats and one mono hull boat.
I was cleaning up the garage and uncovered the Airboat hull about a month ago. And seeing how I have a bunch of old airplane parts and radio equipment laying around I can't think of anything better to do with my time. I went back thru all the posts and got bit by the Airboat bug. The question I have is the ones that are having problems with change but have you ever thought about champfering the back 1/3 of the airboat that might help. But what I have found by run full size Airboats you need to let off the throttle start the turn and then throttle back up. Hopefully I'll have some pictures posted soon.
