Muffler screw size for OS LA65?
Can anyone confirm the thread size for the muffler attachment screws? I'd rather go to the hardware store than pay hobby shop prices for 2 socket head cap screws. I haven't found a screw that fits in my box of screws yet that I can measure. The muffler has the number E-4010 embossed on it,

It's probably a 3 mm x 0.5 thread pitch.

Why not take the thing with you when you visit the store ? A simple test fitting is a better bet than a handful of “probable”.
In the event that 3.0 mm seems a bit sloppy, and 4.0mm a no-go; There is a tweeter option, the 3.5 mm screw has been used often on O.S. Engines.

Were the Lowe’s all small, too large or too short?
If the 3 felt small and the 4 would not fit, there is a pretty good chance it is a 3.5. Lowe’s does not carry 3.5mm and very few suppliers do. Most metric assortments exclude 3.5mm as well.
In some situations, the hobby shop prices are a pretty good deal.
