Vernor’s was a Detroit treasure for a long time.

Lonnie once said "we need more gadgets". well. I just designed and made the most important tool in the history of the hobby. I call it the "TWD" (the Thread Wigger Driver).
you all know how it can take a half hour or more to install a Thread Wigger into Golden Rod without damaging the threads. well, this new tool will install a Thread Wigger into Golden Rod in less than 1 minute. yes, less than 1 minute, believe it..
see pics,
Pic 1) a Clevis.
Pic 2) a TWD.
Pic 3) shows a Thread Wigger installed, installed in less than 1 minute.
how slick is that?
an Important Note, don't forget, before installation use a Nut to lock the TWD to the Thread Wigger!

Fine video. Watched it first thing this morning. Loaded up a very old Eagle 2 and headed to the field. Brought 2 gallons of fuel, just in case. Not that the Saito 50 burns that much
Breakfast stop on the way. Not real hungry but the waitresses are real good looking
Keep the great videos coming Makes us feel like flying!

Osmw
Just flew the OSMW Polaris. Great parts fit and laser cut parts were awesome. I really enjoyed the build. I was a little worried that the asaito .40 wouldn't be enough but it flew it with authority .I can't seem to add pictures

Congrats on the new plane. As well, the excellent choice for power. Dave has been working on aother Old School plane also to be powered by a Saito 40. We were hoping he would have flown it by now,
How many posts have you made so far? I think they require 10 or so postings before you are allowed to post pics.
Also, Hello to Hijynx!

Saito FA100T
This 4 stroke twin engine has been sitting around for over 20 years hanging at our LHS in Griffith Indiana. It fired up with no fuss , broke it in and flew it with no onboard igniter. 2500-9000rpm.
that's Saito for u.

Hey Buddy. Sorry I missed you two weeks ago. I was up aginst
a trip to the UP to ride Marquette Mountain on my fat bike and to take a spin on an old Honda GW my kid just bought for me and his mama lol. Rolling out tomorrow on my Pan for a put around the lower lakes across Canada then over the river back through the US to do the lower circle tour. Going solo on this one, short notice but if you aren't doing anything......
All my Saitos are getting dusty this season (to stay on topic) lol.
And the RCU site is still locking up my phone. Planning on crossing the Ambassador mid to late morning, call or text me if you want to fold in for some low flying Hyjinx.

Gary fixed me up with a much more appropriate pilot.
Full scale SE5 bipe
Spad grill, totally hand made, held by magnets as is the Hatch.
I have been busy cutting and splitting firewood, I have two full cords finished and about two and half to go. The Spad is covered, all controls connected and set up, battery location still to be determined and the decals need placed. I covered it in Olive Drab a,d it's not as ugly as I had thought.
