RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
Hey chrisestt01 I have not been able to make it out to the track. Just started a new part time job and going to school full time so all my time is practically gone now. My wife and I are looking at buying a house so there goes my weekends for the time being also. The track I go to right now is actually being re surfaced and the owner Billy is making the track bigger and with a longer straight away. The old track was 117x65 the new track is suppose to be 164x80 and there working on it this week. So for right now I have put on bashing tires and will save my team sores's until the new track opens up.

If your going on ballarina meaning maybe your rear end is swinging around on you for no reason then you need to adjust your droop. This happened to me at the track. I adjusted it and the looseness went away. I know what you mean about the crashes to. A good addition if you do not have it yet is to go two degrees toe on the rear this helps with traction and stability.

My car now sticks to the asphalt like glue using this setup. Front: soft springs, soft sway bar, 30 wt oil, 1 degree toe in, 2 degree camber, 4 degree castor, one way diff, steering bar attached to the forward position of the knuckle arm. At the rear: hard springs, hard sway bar, 0 degree toe, 2 degree camber, ball diff set at 1/4 tight. Tires are Tamiya racing slicks with hard inserts. I attach teh shocks as vertical as possible, the top is in the body mount hole.

I am trying to outrun a TA05 who has got an FDR of 4.1. I think I will get him now.
The latest "toy" I bought is an F201. They are not made anymore I think, but I love the intricate engineering that goes in it. I'll be building it over the weekend. Look forward to it.
Good luck with the house hunting. A shame that you don't have much time to go to the track, but there are indeed more important things in life.

I originally bought the 3Racing suspension arms http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=23625 and now use their upper arms in combination with aluminium lower arms for increased stiffness.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
PLEASE HELP!!
Hi all I have a TT-01 chassis with a few hop-ups. I've just got a Tamiya GT Tuned 25t motor on the standard ESC. I'm using a 25t pinion with a 55t spur gear with the metal motor mount and I can't even make the pinion and spur gear touch on any combination of holes. I no it can be done and I must be doing something wrong. If anyone can help it would be much appriciated.
Thanks all.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
I just had my TT01 hopped up with ball bearings, adjustable upper arms, a turnbuckle tie-rod set, CVA oil-filled cylinders, and an aluminum shaft, BUT it is still not driving straight. [:@] AARGH! I'm sure the slops have decreased after the hopping up, but the car still can't go straight even after adjusting the steering trim in my controller. I am getting depressed after spending all that money only to see my nagging problem still there. What else could be wrong? [&o][&o][&o]

No probs m8
@ drifter yeh a bigger battery will make all the difference even a 2400 nicad will up to the one your using.
@ green yeh im afraid the chassis doesnt like to go straight no matter how many hopups at speed its even worst lol
I noticed it helped when i put new rims on as older ones seem to warp after a while from drifting the car out hope that helps ya
