I will also run it and get it tuned and make sure the paint doesn’t come off then I will send it out.
And this pink is a little slow to dry so I will let it cure out for a couple days before I do an more

Hmm, I think a Sweet Stik would be perfect, nothing to block the view of the engine. I could even have decals made! How does this look?
Mike this is the aussie version. Handy to take the night before a major saito test flight.
ps there's an old joke about about the heli pilot that did'nt know you were supposed to take them orally...

Jim it's well known that if you combine OS parts and heli's it drives people nuts at the field, rather look at a pink saito every time. I wonder if capt gently baked it in the oven ?
Those scratch and kit built planes have become a waste of time. Too costly to make commercially available.
People moved to ARF planes. Looks like they too are on the way out as the hobby moves on to yet better things.
A fine foamy has them all beat
LOL

Waste of money and time. Ready to fly is cheaper in the long run, no tools needed. Store bought is best.
Why build? Bind and fly!

Otherwise known as commercially viable.
They do fly, why expect more?
And, for those whose engines see more time on stands than in the air; those electric motors don't get all that icky oil on your test stand.
They come in pretty colors too

I just come from an event and there were just a couple ARF’s out of 50 planes. They were all scratched or kit built planes. And most of these guys take pride in a well built plane not some cheap Chinese plane.
I just got back from the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise.
Thousands upon thousands of unique cars . Lots of hand work and skill involved.
Attendees from all over the World! Just 10 miles from here.
When it comes to toy planes, those kit built planes are fading into history. The scratch builders are near extinct . Today's modelers are getting less appreciative of skilled craftsman with the passing of each day
Even the ARFs are giving way to the foamies.
No surprise, crude is the new "cool"

Pride?
They could have great looking , fine flying foamies and saved both time and money.
The foamie guys laugh at them.
They are only toy airplanes after all.

not to change the foam talk and how bumpy it is, but isn't that a 65 Chevelle in that photo ??
BTW, when I was at the field last week one of the guys had a large high wing foamy he was setting up, not sure now what it was. but it had the bumps on the top side of the wing to create more lift at slower air speeds. I told him "his wings had bumps on them so he should sand them down" LOL, I guess he didn't appreciate my joke, he told me to go away LOL,
I thought it was a funny !
