Lonnie, I'm going to fire this 180 prop driver your way to see if it will help your slippage problem. Lets hope, also pictured are the 33.5mm FA 30-s pushrods.

That is a good deal. I absolutely love mine, excellent range and accuracy. Due to its size and rarity I use it for bench testing only, don't want it to bang around in my flight box. Elcheapo digitals are good enough for field use. Thanks again for sending it my way, Gary.
Scrub the parts while still hot/warm with stiff plastic bristle brushes. Fingernail brushes, tooth brushes, gun cleaning brushes etc work good. I use denatured alcohol while brushing. Oiling after cleaning is a good idea.

I have used both WD and rubbing alcohol. it's a dirty job but someone has got to do it.. if it comes out gray remove the Antifreeze and let it set a little while with WD on it, 10 minutes should make it shine.

Yeah, they used to sell both kits and plans for those shapers at the machinist hobby expos.
Several fellows at work built them.
The "Iron Grasshopper" is what we called shapers. Used to be on of my favorite machines to operate. We had a 24" stroke Cleveland at Parts Fab. With a carefully sharpened bit, a good operator could resurface a cylinder head and get an excellent sealing surface.
Those blue hot chips had a knack for finding any opening in your clothes that leads to bare skin!

Well, here's a Saito story with a sting in the tail. Since before the Ukraine/Russia war and now, hundreds of " Sea Eagle " Orlan 10 UAV drones have been guiding Russian shelling of Ukrainian targets. Part of the illegal supply of advanced US chip technology comes from South East Florida house. The report states the drone is powered by Saito Seisakusho engines, big sales for Saito, wonder which supplier was involved.
Update. Just watched a vid called " what can the Orlan-10 do ".
Wingspan: 3mtrs.
Length: 2mtrs.
Weights: 12.5 kgs min.
16.5 kgs AUW.
Cruising speed between 115 and 150 kph.
Endurance of up to 18 hours.
Saito garbage can mufflers visible on either side of cowl, engine seems to have a very soft rubber mounting and is self starting.
Black coarse pitch prop appears to be approx 14 to 16 inch dia.
Picture of crashed drone without cowl shows petrol Saito flat twin with small oil hole drilled in pushrod covers??
Anyone like to guess how big the twin is and who supplied the hundreds of engines, may even be thousands, good business for the supplier.
