Plecofish thanx for the shots. Looks like you have lost interest in your LST. I was the last hold out at the local track but it got to the point where I was the only one showing up with a truck that could run the MT class. Sooo... I'm putting the finishing touches on this beast...

And now with the Muggy out I'm thinkin about looking at Losi Again. I'm gonna need a second job. sheeesh..

Ok, so far my CRT is a little bit beyond CRT PRO kit.

It started life as the RTR cause I couldn't afford the pro-kit and a $450 engine.

So now all thats left to do is the chassis. Am I stuck with the stock CRT PRO kit chassis?

I notice the CR has the mashined out light weight chassis avaiable over and above the CR PRO chassis.

Also, besides amain anyone have any sites with tons of CRT goodies just incase I missed something?

I am looking at a truggy for racing and i was looking at the CRT RTR as i cant afford the kit. I got some questions though.

What will i need to change on the truck in order for me to use a starter box?

I want to change out the steering servos so what is the best possible servo i can use for this truck?

Are http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLMZ8&P=7 dyable?

The wing on this truck looks very small. Are there any bigger wings i can use?

I planning on using a futaba 3pm radio for it. This looks like a really good racing truggy!

You will need alloy chassis braces(jammin, dace) look on www.amainhobbies.com . For starter box use, you will need http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/3811
Or to save alot of money get http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/3795
You can pick up a pro chassis on ebay later on. The only other thing you may need if you race on hard pack tracks is a set of crime fighters. Try www.truggyracers.com for tons of tips. The wheels you showed are dyable but if you look on amain you will see other brands of half offset wheels in different colors. You will need a fast strong servo in the $90 range to .14 to .10 sec. in speed and 180oz.in. in power. use the steering servo in the RTR for your brakes. Good luck.

The 21-5 is simular in horse power to the vspec but it is much smoother down low and easier to control. The 21-5 revs alittle higher and is not sensitive to running bigger spur gears for big tracks. My vspec needs to be geared close to the stock gearing or it will over heat and smoke the clutch shoes. My 21-5 can turn a 16tooth bell if I need it and it just goes faster with no drama. I rate my vspec as a powerful engine that acts like an on-off switch and the 21-5 is like a razor sharp sword.

Do a search for heat cycle break-in or go to truggyracers.com and search for heat cycle and there is a complete explanation for the procedure. Be patient and the engine will run better longer.

For someone whp has 21 RC's you'd think you would know that "if it comes with an engine, theres a BREAK in method in the manual". May not be the best method, but theres ALWAYS a manufacturer recommended break in method.

Whats with the !!!! exclaimations guy? Did something upset you? You asked about a brake in proceder (which I took to mean procedure) and crazysavage suggested a website and I supplied a link. No reason to get excited. Did you get your CRT yet?
I have 4 new rc18t and I don't think it says anything about breaking them in. Maybe I should read the instructions? Naw...I know they have to be run a little to seat the brushes....

OH brother!! Aren't !!!!!! used to show excitment? What did I ask? If I was having a problem I don't think I would have bother with the rest of my post. Grow up!!! I'm outta this thread, it's as bad as most of the rest........I'm not needed here anyway. You have 20 different cars (this one will be the 21st) you must have enough knowledge to share. I don't have that many

So do you have a CRT?
