RE: Official Jammin X1CRT Thread
Is the Novarossi Plus 21-5K enought power to get in a jammin CRT truggy ? i'm looking at a new engine right now and this now caught my attention. Is the novarossi 528 better ?
Please tell me what you think.

The LRP motor is an absolute animal. You will need a large track to fully exploit it's potential. If you're trying to run it on a tight, technical track like a super-sized 1/10 scale (like my local track) you will be annoyed by the motor because the explosive torque it produces will make the truck tough to drive. But if you have the room to let it wind out and do it's thing then it's a VERY impressive motor.

cool, I got one more question, which should actually be in another thread, but it looks like the LRP .28 truggy version won't accept the LRP roto start backplate. What do you know about that? I just ordered my CRT kit so i have no idea if you could even get a roto start shaft to fit through the rear. I have no problem using a starter box, just would rather carry a kwik start instead.

That one I don't know the answer to. I got mine with a pull start. I primarily use my starter box but have the PS for a backup. Check LRP's website and give them a call if you don't find the answer you're looking for.

thanks for the quick response john. On there website the pull start is the monster truck version LRP32802 and the Truggy version is LRP32809. They are similar motors but have different specs. It looks like the truggy version is bump start only and the M/T version will accept the roto start backplate. I guess I just need to order the motor and find out the hard way huh

I run the Hitec HSC-5998. Well worth the price IMO. Digital, coleless motor, BB's and titanium gears. Also is water and dust tight. I use this with my nomadio radio and the servo response time is instantaneous. Here's the specs @ 6V 250oz .19sec

Hi guys, I got a question about the oils that came with the kit. They are labeled as 1000, 5000, and 50. The instuctions, which I had to download cause they didn't come with my kit, state that the F&R diffs should be filled with 5K and the center diff filled with 10k. Was the wrong oil sent with my kit? The one labeled 1000 is definitely to thin to be 10K. Also for reference does anybody remember how many numbered bags came with their kit. I have 10 bags, plus the wing, wheels, chassis, body and antenna tube. I hope that's right.

check for an air leak in the engine or fuel lines. Also, If your running a fuel filter remove it, and try running without it and see if that helps.
