Can't find 19's , when I ran a calculator it showed that I could run park 480's on a (4) 3 cell 2200 should get about 6 minutes flight. Why did you decide to go with the size you are using? Just hoping I did not miss something

park 480's seem small for a plane that is going to be in the 12-15lb range.
The Royal B-17 was originally designed to run on 4 Veco .19 nitro engines... ( this is where my power-19 thought came from ) ...
E-flite power-15s are meant to be a drop in replacement for a .15 sized engine, so they should be roughly equivalent to the original spec of a .19 sized nitro

Learning exercises are not used in the real world of full-size airplanes. After 30 years in storage, your dads beautiful 17 deserves to be out=fitted from the start with the RIGHT STUFF. Do not skimp here. I know this is an old post I am writing to. I can't wait to see how the end turns out. Great job!

What size tires did end up going with and also retracts gear I’m at this point now I’m having hard finding something to
fit in the Nacelle? My planes it says to use 3 1/2 wheels the kit I’m building is Royal b17F 77 3/4 wingspan
looks the same as what you have.
Thanks John

I've got one 4 built royal b17s, they use 90 degree nose wheel retracts and I'm not sure what size wheels.
