Welcome to Club SAITO !

Okay, let's try this. A club member flies a U-Can-Do with a 1.25 Saito, fairly rich. He experienced a severe resistance when the prop was turned. Upon disassembly of the engine it was found to have galling in the big end of the rod. A new rod was ordered and compared with the old one. Apparently a design change took place. Anyone else come across this problem area? The new rod is on the left side in the photos.
The FA450R3 master rod I recently purchased also had the web face groove treatment while the one it replaced did not.
I suspect that Saito has done this to most of their engines to improve crank journal lubrication.
It will work in your FA125 & will probably eliminate the problems your club member experienced.

Just installed a Keleo exhaust on my 125. Having a problem with leaking exhaust oils at the bolt. Nothing between the head and the muffler. Do any of you think a sealant will work to stop the leaking. Any other suggestions. Richie

One of my 82s had been run for about 40-50 hrs and there was only a little carbon build up on the exhaust valve . Elsewhere it just wiped off . The dreaded carbon , castor combo is not worth worrying about me thinks . Cheers the pope

If I recall correctly (where I got this one - a friend or an old engine) the instructions say to use clean oil on the threads when installing and that actually seems to help. Take what you have off, clean it up, lube the bolt threads (both of them), reinstall and test.

Seriously, it's time to stop trying to pick a fight. You know what he meant. We all know what was meant. I once joked that it was time to go kick the wife and kiss the dog to a guy who was fighting with someone here on RCU. One person was so offended he wanted to press charges against me. True story.

The muffler in question as 2 bolts as I read the posts.

Is that an assumption on your part or have you had "complaints” from others?
The fact is, now that the OP has posted a picture it seems that my question was valid as that is a set-up that is totally different than any I have seen.
I have never seen a site where there seems to be such a childish propensity to take offense when something is questioned or debated.
