LB now that you have both, can you take a pic of the F103GT with the F201 tires/wheels so i can get an idea of the proportions?

I thought he wants me to mount up the F201 wheel/tire to the F103.. and unfortunately they don't work.. (cause I thought about the same thing, ha ha ha ha!!)
But I can certainly take pics of them side by side.. that's for sure...
F103 is so light... !!

Glad to hear you're enjoying your car Eric.
For the body; why don't you try fitting those 3Racing body mounts and sit an NSX on there? The NSX is the suggested body for the F103GT accordinig to the chassis manual. What'd be really clever is if you could do the Advan racing paint scheme on the NSX as well.....
Just a suggestion as ever. Can't wait to hear how it performs with a gyro. I may be interested in buying one if it works....
Chris.

Waiting for a good coupon so I can order some more stuff from Tower.. ha ha!
Yeah, the NSX is not a bad choice as I will get to stay w/ Tamiya and it was on sale at Tower awhile ago.. not sure if it is still on! [:@]
Need to order the 3Racing body post relocation kit, though.. and I will probably get a front bumper kit as well.. (although that means whenever I am gonna put it up as a shelf queen, I'd need to change out the bumper.. hmm...
Maybe I will just drive carefully and don't need the foam bumper.. ha ha!
We will see!!

I thought the $25 off $150 was a really good coupon.. as it pushes over the limit for free-shipping..
Too bad that it expired.. wa! Should have put in another order....

Doh! I thought the F201 wheels were a 12mm hex, too
there goes that idea *deletes Williams BMW F1 body and F201 tires/wheels from tower list..."

F201 wheels do use 12mm hex..
It is just the diameter of the wheel is too small to clear the F103 rear hub thing... if it has a bigger offset, then it would fit....
Might want to get different type of wheel.. then you can still do it!!

The trick w/ coupon is that usually the higher the amount, the lesser the percentage.. so if you can break apart an order and use multiple coupons, that's usually to your advantage.. I always go over the $150 hurtle for the free shipping, though, as that's a pretty big cost saving. That's why I was saying that the $25 off $150 was in a way the perfect coupon..
Unless you want to buy something (single item) that's $$$, like a $360 TXT, for example! [:@] Then you'd prefer something like $35 off $300 or something... hee hee..

Let me know if you find a good combo!! I'd definitely be interested!! I also heard that stiff up the front with stiffer springs (up front) would help too.. which makes sense.. would give you more of a understeer, I guess... so you don't loop your car all the time!
I will drive some more tonight to see if I need to make any more adjustments.. but what I did last night certainly helped!!

The return of the Magic Carpet?!?!
Looks like I will use this as my bash body then... the body is low enough that I don't even need to get the touring car body post mounted... just use the stock F103GT Courage body mounts...

Another shot.... !! Maybe I should get another one, eh?! I mean, this one got cut up pretty badly to fit over TC4 FT.. (to clear the shock towers and suspension?!?! [:@])

Probably need to re-think about the Magic Carpet body -> it is meant for a bigger car.. the F103GT's front wheels do not extend enough to clear the wheelwells.. (I have already turn down the EPA to 65%...) Hmm..
Maybe I should still get a TC body and mount it up.. looks cooler anyway, a RWD touring car!!

$30?! I don't have the $$$, you think I am a bank?!?!?!?!? [:@] (joke)
A Protoform TC body will be under $20... I am still debating.... argh!! Either way, I should probably get the front bumper and the body post relo kit from 3Racings.....

Argh.. wish there's a different coupon than the $20 off $125.. cause either way, I have to go above $150 anyway to get the free shipping..
Scam, I tell ya, that Tower Hobbies.. (joke)

TEX, when r u getting your F103GT?! I must admit that now that I have driven it a few times.. I am getting better at it for sure..
I am sure it will be even better once I do some more electronic tweaking.. (do some exponential curve on the throttle.. for example..) To take out some of the initial punch, you know... so it does not loop out..
And also, the trick is to turn off-throttle.. (actually, off throttle first, then turn..) It seems to ride the front pretty well.. and doesn't really spin out without power.. but who knows, might not be the best way to get around the track.. need to take it to your track and experiment with it...

The current $20 off $125 is close enough... not as good as the $25 off $150.. but close enough..
