Cradle nearly done, need to make a restraint so it doesn't move for and aft while in transit.

Looks good Scott, when's the maiden? The bombs and stuff really finish it off nicely.

Good luck with the flights

Alex

Good idea for transport support , if my project A-10 goes well, I hope to perform a similar and almost the same size.
Bravo for the job.

Greetings

Most of the cockpit was cracked so I repaired it and repainted some of it too. Its the worst part of this model but you can get away with it from a meter or two but it doesn't stand up to closer inspection. Its a shame as the detail on the fuz is excellent then your eye gets drawn to the cockpit and it spoils the illusion. Perhaps I got a dodgy one as the example on Skymasters website looks much better in its quality of finish. Anyway it does its job and at a distance looks half decent.

Alex:

What servo arm lengths are you using in the A-10 ? 1", 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" ?

Hi, all

today just test flight the A-10 powered by twin DS-94 HST, much better than the prototype A-10, but still can not reduced the weight, 25kg weight included 14S 5000 mah x 2,

Sorry , the L/g has some problem with the pressure,

I will save the pressure problem and will test fly again soon.

Hi Gonzalo38

Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been away with limited internet access.

30mm M3 elevators
25mm M3 ailerons
46mm M3 flaps
Rudder & Speedbrakes, JR standard nylon heavy duty servo horns (they come with the 8911's)

The kit comes with double horns for the flaps, you may be lucky and get them pre installed. I used the standard carbon kit horn for the speedbrakes, and ailerons which worked fine. Type A horns for the elevators were used.

Hi Anton

What do you plan to do to fix the gear problem?

Hi Anton
Impressive performance for edf. I am amazed at how light the plane appears to fly ( Considering its all up weight) I just hope mine performs like this..
I am set to fly mine in the next week. My worry is the main gear. Even at 130 PSI it is possible to pull the gear down easily. How do you plan to stop this?
Regards Al

No need. I have now more than 25 flights and the wheel never come down. You need to pump 125psi. Above 125 the airpower valve fail. Make sure no leaks. At 100 psi still no problem. Failsafe at 50 psi and this more than enough to lock gear down...

The model is now all finished and delivered. Thanks goes to Ralle at 'Tailormade' for sorting the decals out for me, also Ilja for making the pipes and Ali for his patience as the build overran by 4weeks. I'm looking forward to the flight reports which should appear in the next week or two!

Cheers, Alex

Excellent job Alex! I can't wait for Ali's flying report and settings. I hope somebody takes some nice videos as well!
I got most of my gear except turbines and I just returned from Germany so I am starting mine this week.

SM is sending me next week the pylons/ordinance and turbofans. I already got the decals from Tailormade for the ordinance and they look superb!

Alex the pilot figure you used on Al's A10 is from my friend Mathias in Germany? what scale? 1:5?

Regards,

Gonzalo

Hi Gonzalo

Thanks, I'm just crossing my fingers that all the effort was worth it and we have a great flying model.

Yes its from Mathias I believe but best check with Ali as he ordered it for me. Its 1:5 which is a tad big really but then I was worried 1:6 would be a little small even though the model is that scale. Not much help I know, sorry.

Cheers, Alex
