OK, You are Ed. I know who very few RCU names actually are.
I took no offence. I just wanted to clarify the "Utility Engine" side of things. Most are, only a few are not. That was the only point I wanted to get accross. I like the utility engines better anyway. They are well proven engines in other more abusive applications. As an airplane engine they usually get a much easier life. Plus multi port, highly modified engines usually have a narrow powerband and are trickey to tune. Good for dirtbikes or GP bikes that are run wide open all the time, but not so good for airplanes. Again, just my opinion

CRUSTY; I am sorry i was thinking of 3W when i said DA my mistake. there is only one true perpose built engine everyone else use's parts off of other engine's. as far as internal combustion engine goes that is a gasser for all perpose's. copper windings are in electric moters, such as battery powered your servo's have moters in them and starters is a moter. any thing needing an electrical charge to keep running is a moter.
on other news. i am a lucky person i dont have to order my XAOR props because my local hobby shop (STOCKS) them. SWEET. They also carry other brands to such as MENS. but one of the workers showed me something about the two props. he took a 22x8 from each put the on the desk and pushed on the tips of the prop's and the MENS bowed as where the XAOR did not and he put a lot of weight behind it.

Sorry, Scott. It didn't occur to me that you didn't know who I was. You now know that I would never say anything negative about you or your business. You have treated me absolutely first class from the very beginning. And I truly appreciate it. Not to worry, Amigo.

There are many purpose built engines with no chainsaw parts...DA, 3W, ZDZ, Moki, and probably others....
Horizon claims the new G20 is purpose built, kinda hard to believe since there are too many extra tapped holes and unneeded things on the crankcase..

but the hobby shop is http://bobshobbycenter.com/ its called bob's hobby shop @ steves hanger. its way cool in there.
but the even cooler thing is where i am becomeing a member of a club. the flying site i fly at they fly jets. and not just any jets its the BVM jet's. its actually the proving grounds for BVM. last week they had a electric ducted fan F-86 saber jet and it was very cool. not even on the market yet. one they had out today was an ultra bandit with a 45# thrust turbine in it super fast it was clocked at 270 mph wow wow.

to the right you will see something that looks like a horizon. really looks like a gimbal with the stick removed and you put the mouse pointer in it and click the left mouse button and it will start to move and then just control inside the gimbal with mouse.

I dunno!
I have been watching for a while, trying to see if there is anything I should know. My Brillelli 46 should ship out the beginning of next week. I guess it's unanimous, Thumbs up.

RE: Brillelli 46cc
Welllll... FIFTEEN off topic posts in a row..... COULD mean not much to say....about the TOPIC, anyway....
My 46 is just dandy in my Ultimate. My friends TWO 46's are dandy.
Just buy 'em and run 'em..... they really do like a 21 x 8 prop, BTW, unless you try any of the "non-prop" brands (we know them).
If you haven't gotten the wrap around muffler, you might consider it - sounds really great, has a good mellow tone, and only adds about 4 oz to the AUW.

Scott, any new word on the date for you new lighter 3.0oz mufflers? This will knock off 2.6 to 2.8 oz over the stock muffler I have that weighs 5.8oz.
I deff want one.. Trying to get my Carl Goldburg 77" Extra 330 in the high 13lbs range and will settle for low 14lbs

It will be about 2 weeks yet. They are done, but I am having another muffler for a different engine made as well. They will all ship together when they are all done.

I've just got my tf gs P-51 arf in and was trying to decide on a motor. I want plenty of power but don't want to butcher my cowl. Has anyone flown with the 46cc gt or the 366 60cc. If so can you post some pics. I have a good friend building this for me since I'm currently in beautiful Fallujah Iraq. So yall fly some for me I'll be back in december hopefully flying my new mustang.

Scott,
We emailed a while about the 74" EF Yak/40GT combo and I'd love to know if you or Chris has a prototype flying yet? Yeah, I know the answer's probably "not yet," just dying to know how the combo flies and what the AUW cameout to. I'm narrowing it down to your combo deal or a WH 80" Yak/46GT pairing. Your deal rocks since it's my first gasser and you include all the accessories needed to get rolling.
Bill
EDIT: Sorry if the 40GT question isn't exactly on target, i thought I was posting in the Brillelli Boyz thread. Too many windows open at once!! [sm=tired.gif]

RE: Brillelli 46cc
Bill,
I sent Chris his engine this week. I am sure it will take a little while for him to get it flying. Chris sent a plane out for me and it will be getting a 46 instead of the 40. I want to see how it works with that much power on that size plane. The AUW of the 2 engines will be so close with the new muffler, I think it will work out very well. It will just be way more power than is needed, but that is good too The Yak is so similer in weight and size to the QQ yak and the WH edge it should work just fine. I do like the look of Chris's plane better. the color sceme is awsome and Extreme Flight is an absolut pleasure to deal with. They treat you so nice.

RE: Brillelli 46cc
I am more concerned with ballance. The throttle can allways be moved back I think it will be OK. The WH and Qq ballanced well with the 40, so the 46 is so close it should not be a problem. Power to weight will be insane to say the least.
