RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
How are you all mounting your ESC's to the chassis? I used the double sided sticky pads that come with the kit but they just come off after a few runs.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
the thing i fear is that the 55mm ones are actually going to be too short since i raised the ride height to the max. when you installed the 55mm ones did you have to do any mods to the chasis? could the arms travel down any further?

I cant find those shocks to show you but I found my old rs4 ones and I made a mistake they are longer than 55 they are 65mm.The hotshot ones were for an rs4 so they should be the same size or get rs4 ones.As for mods I fitted my hotshots when I was building it so my bumpers werent on so the arms hung even more, you would have to mod the bumpers alittle.Im trying to upload but I keep getting an error message, I will try again later

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
wow thanks collector1, those pics really cleared up alot of doubt i had about what damper height i should get. so you're saying the rs4 dampers you are using in those pics are 65mm right?
but were you able to actually attach those dampers onto the chassis? because i'm not sure but in the pics the rs4 dampers look as if they are being attached by wire ties or something
if they were a bit long i was thinking of getting the 60mm ones.
i attached a pic of a mod i did and circled the area where i made the cut to the bumper. this way you can still have the bumper to add strength while still being able to fully extend your ride height

Yes they can be attached to the car with the stock TT01 mounting screws but I was too lazy and tired from work to remove the 3 racing hardware so I tied them If you want I will mount it properly so you can see it and yes your mod is a good one for the arm droop but I didnt mod mine because I didnt have any intentions on raising my car, well not this one

I love my TT 01! I bought mine with the Enzo Body - it was the kit, not the RTR version. I don't race so this car is perfect for me. Just recently finished the Mach 5 body in the pictures. I loved that show when I was a kid - this is as close as I will ever get to the real thing![&o] I any of you other SR fans wants to have one of these bodies, let me know - I have the mold. Happy Racing.
