That's insane dude. I might have to test this now. I'm gonna back over my TT-01 with my car, then my dad's truck. Not really, that's awesome though. Long Live the TT-01!!!!

Do you guys think it's advisable to put a Mamba Max 7700 in my TT-01? I don't want to sell it after all (neighbors won't appreciate the nitro sound).
I also want to get a li-po charger and a lithium nano-phosphate battery.

Hey pimpedarse that is crazy that hardly anything broke but on the plus side you got a good excuse to get some sweet stuff for ur car. Just tell the Wife/GF/Mom whatever u got that its totaled and you need to order $200 bucks worth of stuff

Alright. Check it out. Look here. Ha. I installed my 55/25 gearing in my TT-01. W00t. I didn't try it out yet though. What else can I put on my TT-01 to make it faster without going brushless? I have pretty high gearing, a 19t motor, anything else that would increase the speed? I could put my 17t motor in it. I'm gonna go on towerhobbies and look for smaller spurs!

Add Volts Get a high volt ESC and try airplane 11.1 Lipo's! It will make your TT-01 lighter too.

Adding an alu motor mount heatsink.. should I still add the motor plate (goes between motor mount and motor) that comes with the kit or not? What do you guys think?

I dont think a metal motor mount will cool your motor off too much. I would just install the patch between them to avoid metal on metal contact.

I also bought the motor heatsink you put on top of the motor. So If i got your reply correct, I will install the motor plate. Thanks for the response btw.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask if everyone here knows how to clean the sport tuned engine?

My first run was really nice sounding, the engine was "clean sounding" but now the engine just sounds dirty, its louder and im wondering if its pulling more energy and not using its full potential.

but once i get about 1/3 power, it starts to sound clean again.

I even try warming up the engine before i start a new run.

does anyone know how i can fix this problem? or any imput at all.

Thanks!

nah, can't find the one that fits TT01 on tower or rcmart, they're for different models, not TT01.

Can a person install lights on any kind of car? Even though the body might not have headlights set up for real lights? I'd assume you could keep the headlight part of the body unpainted. Does that work? Cool lookin' AE86 btw.

Uh, I thought the patch between the motor and motor mount was to prevent the motor melting the plastic? My aluminum motor mount has heat sinks on them... I thought about leaving the patch on the motor but I didn't think it would soak up too much motor vibrations...

Well I guess it does not really mattar if you use the patch on a tt-01 cause the chassis is plastic. But if you had metal on metal contact and there was any vibration it could glitch the radio pretty bad. Thats on an aluminum chassis tho.

psychorevo that is a really nice tt-01. I am going to pick up the HPI AE86 190mm pretty soon. I am guessing that is the one you have. How much offset would you reccommend?

yeh sweet AE86 there pys [8D]

the motormount protects the plastic chassis from getting warm by pushing heat away from it,you should also use the patch part too.
tbh i used down to a 17turn motor for drifting and never used the motor mount and havent had any heat build up,then i wont run for 30mins solid, have 10-15mins bursts drifting and let the motor cool a bit
