Oh sweet, thanks a lot! I think I'll wrap my battery in saran wrap and put silcon sealant on the gear covers for both the front and rear diffs....
I can't wait to tear up some dirt fields!

Sweet video hyper. Looks like you can dirft real good with open diffs. But I saw a few times where u spun out or kinda stoped drifting and had to pick up a little speed to get going again. If you lock up the diffs you might be able to slide real far. But your setup is really personal too you so I say try the locked diffs and if you dont like them then just go back to your normal way of drifting.

And mindwreck is right they dont have to be locked solid, packing with grease is a good way to get a limited slip effect. This will help the car turn better but still keep the diffs fairly solid.

I prefer to lock both diffs. This is a diagram of how I do it. Its not messy like many other methods and easily reverable if you decide to unlock them.

well thanks for the tips but i don't have that problem anymore!
i change my motor! back then i had a 19tx2 now igot a 15tx2 so i got more power!!!
but i'll keep that in mind maybe i'll try it one day!

O look what finally came today. The pictures on tower hobbies really don't do these motors justice this thing is nice lookin! Its a 23t so about 20k rpms I say. Should provide a little more punch than stock.

Well that was a very easy install Lol. I only putted around on a dead battery in my living room but this thing definatly has alot more punch than a silver can. Now I have to go get the magic earser to get all the rubber marks off my floor

Hey BONEZ thanks for the info you gave I put in an order for the ajustable upper arms today and I am thinking about getting the front and rear stabilizer sets. I already have oil filled shocks and i got my Super Stock TZ & Trinity Monster Pro Stock motors. The track we have here is real technical or maybe its just me since I am new to racing.

I would personally not get the stabilizer sets. I can't see those making any noticeable difference in the handeling of the car. Plus they would add alot of weight.

I am rebuilding my TT01 and when I build it I will try to take pics. I will hold off on getting the stabilizer set but I did order the adjustable arm set. Will also wait on the ball diffs because when I order that i have to get the new axle shafts as well.

Hey guys, should I regrease my TT-01 before running it again? It's been sitting in a box that's covered up, so it's not dusty, but should I just in case or will I be fine if i don't regrease it?

I wonder what's taking my order so long to come.[&:]

I think you should take it apart and regrease it. Just my opinion though.

You should!. My pinion from the motor was wear out quickly...and now i put in new pinion from robinson racing(metal not aluminium) ..and i regrease after 2 -3 runs .... we drifts hard every night!

Last week i put in my TT-01 a Venom Fireball 19T x2 ..and can drift on high speeds,and manage to maintain long drifts.

I have the blue lock nuts for the wheels and the blue aluminum bumper stopper also, but thats more aesthetic than performance oriented.

DuraTrax IntelliSpeed 8T Pro Racing Forward ESC

I have a Sport Tuned black can and a Super Stock RZ motor, along with some other motors that I share with my TA-05MS.

After all the mods the car handles better than I would have even thought. It was a project for me to try to make a TT-01 that can keep up if not beat my TA-05MS without most of its hop ups. I have succeeded in doing that. The TT-01 is a great machine when you tune it properly, out of the box its great for bashing, but once tuned I think you could hang up through GT2 in TCS races. However that tuning comes at a cost, TCS mandates all parts (they require you to purchase batteries at the race in GT2) have to be Tamiya and the setup I have would run around $550-$650 including the few spares i have of some of the more commonly breakable parts. TCS racing should be fun, I'm going to try to run the TT-01 instead of my TA-05, should be interesting to see how far I can get before having to bring out my TA-05MS

650 bucks...that is the problem wiht the tt-01 in order to make it reasonably good, you have to spend a LOT upgrading it..... for that money why not just get a TB evo or a TRF...

thats like spending all your money on a modifying a honda or etc. insteading of buying a ferrari.. its modified, but its still a honda...

Some people tune cars because they enjoy it and then the pleasure of driving their car with those modifications. I think this is the same situation. Sure i could have bought a 415MSXX for around what I paid, but it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun as getting my TT-01 to this point has been. I didn't even have this much fun with my TA-05MS.

Its all preference, i wanted to take a simple kit car and turn it in to a tuner. I did just that, and I am quite happy with the results. This car while it may not win in the mod classes will more than hold its own in club racing.

Maybe I saw it here, but its a very true statement. Racing is 40% Car, 40% Driver, & 20% Luck. You can take someone that has the best chassis and parts and they will lose to a 18R if they have no driving skill.

Modifying the TT-01 while expensive was a lot of fun, racing it is even more fun. That alone was worth the price of admission to me

WOW I'm gonna sound like an idiot cause I only have a 23 turn motor but dang this thing rips! I guess I am too used to my silver can tho. The top end is a good bit faster now but the torque is just everywhere. BIG difference as far a drifting. [>:]

Painted the AE86 today It turned out way better than my first shell. The only thing wrong with it is a couple of uneven edges and the paint kinda ran on the hood so the white is a little grey looking on some of the edges. But over all I think this thing is sweet!
