Does anyone have an unused engine cowl, fake radial engine insert (black), and decal sheet for the Top Flite B25? Happy to pay a fair price for any or all pieces. I just picked up a B25 from a club member that started it but didn't finish it. He lost those parts. As far as I can see they are not available from Top Flite or Tower Hobbies. Post here how to contact you or call me at 920-921-5419
Thanks,
Roy
Thanks,
Roy
I got you covered. I have a few cowls and dummies. No decals though. If you make your own you would be happier anyway.
It will take a few days for me to get back to you.

Hi Speed and John. I have sent you both PM's and not heard back. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong? If you see this and you have a Top Flite B25 cowl and/or dummy engine please let me know. Please let me know either way. If anybody else has what I'm looking for I'm willing to pay a fair price. Again my e-mail is [email protected]
Thanks,
Roy

I have Robart air retracts on my Top Flite B-25.
My question is how do u hook up your air compressor to the Robart fille valve? The compressor has a female fitting that fits a tire valve. The Robart fitting has a male fitting of its own with no adapter. How do u make this set up work pl.
Your input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Rafeeki, The way you fill up your air retract is you need to have another robart fill valve and fill chuck connected together with a piece of air line tubing. Then you put the fill valve, which has same dimensions a tire valve into the air pump. Then screw the fill chuck in to the fill valve on your plane and turn on the compressor until the desired pressure is achieved. Good luck. You will need robart part number #168 Fill Valve & Fill Chuck kit. Connect both of these parts together with a piece of air line tubing. Good luck.

Thanks for your feedback Zoomer.
Here is what I have discovered though.
The line from the compressor that fits a car tire and Robart's fill valve have different threads....... go figure. So I will, like u said use the two and pump air through a needle (used to fill a ball) with the use of a narrow tubing.
They can make this much easier if the provided fittings with matching threads. My 10c.

My air compressor has a quick release lever not a screw on type and it works fine. I have seen people use the sport ball needle. it works just as well too. Sure beats that old robart hand pump I used to use.

one of the qualifying questions was: "Does Sierra Giant make landing gear for this?"

Robart air system
As I am new to air retracts thought I would ask this simple question before I tear the system apart to locate an air leak.
I have aTop Flite B-25 that I purchased on line. However I have taken most of the components apart and started reassembling it to insure it meets "my specs". So upon pressurizing the system to 100lbs the system holds the pressure for about 2 hrs or less. Is that normal or is something leaking? Is it normal to have to pressurize the system after each flight?
Thanks

Found the air fill valve leaking slightly. Replaced the inside core (from Auto Zone) and tightened it like crazy.
Checked the plastic T-fittings, few were leaking. Ordered the brass fittings to replace them.
Does anyone use a sealant on the fittings? Robart is silent on that.
Thanks

Yes, Top Flite used out thrust to make the aircraft easier to handle in the event of an engine failure. I would not use sealant on any of the air components- it will be carried into the retract valve when air exhausts from the cylinders. I used a mixture of soap and water to find air leaks in my systems.
