Are you dumb? It's to power the electronics (ESC, servo and reciever). I even stated that I have a GP3000 battery...

G-Ped, it really is unfortunate that ignorance can be so bold sometimes. I'm not calling anyone ignorant but it's funny how so many times people are quick to make others look bad when they don't understand the situation. If you're pushing the limits of your ESC I always think it's a good idea to disable the BEC and power the electronics the old-fashioned way. There's nothing nitro wannabe about that! It's just smart.

I noticed that you've got a 26T pinion. Where exactly do you find those? Does it require a different spur gear? Does the motor mount have the proper spacing or do you need a new one? Thanks.

It's just a normal 26t 32p pinion gear. Well, the motor mount pattern just continues, if you get what I mean.

For a 19/61 you should use motor mount holes A. For 20/61 you should use holes B. For 21/61 you should use holes C. For 22/61 you should use holes D. For 22/58 use holes A. For 23/58 you should use holes B etc etc, the pattern just continues. So the last pinion/spur gear setting in the TT01R manual is 25/55, which use holes A on the motor mount. And obviously that pattern will continue, so 26/55 should use holes B. And if you want to run 27/55, you would use holes C.

And I guess if you want to run a 52t spur with a 28-31t pinion, you could if you continue that pattern.

Also 48pitch pinion? I getta get what your smoking, TT-01's need 32pitch pinions.

I find that 23/58 over heats a motor, so I got no idea how hot your motors must get guys!

Ok, let me repeat myself. Without power from the AA bats, the servo and ESC=no workie... The ESC does not use power from the battery to operate...

Well, I used a whole 1400mAh tamiya pack, full throttle for atleast 85% of the time, and I could hold my finger on the middle of the engine for about 3-4 seconds before it started to sting after the run. Then I tried the car again with a 22/58 setup for a whole 1400mAh battery and full throttle about 90% of the time. The engine temp was the same... But the top speed was pretty slow, and the acceleration to top speed was about the same as the 26/55 gearing. This was before I got the heat sink, and now the engine stays pretty cool now.

With the 3000mAh battery, I usually dont run it full throttle for so long.

helllo, i have a TT-01 and is stock for now some parts r on the way, my question is what can i do to make the car go faster, i have the stock speed control, AE reedy competition stock motor (don't know the turns) on the way aluminium motor heat sink, Aluminum propellor shaft, oil filled shocks. if someone can help me. If you want to go faster, get a better engine. Or, you can change your gearing for a bit more top speed.

It's all fine and dandy to want to put in a faster motor but you need to strengthen the chassis and have a functional suspension set-up for your tt01. Look at the carbon upper brace and the front and rear stabilizers.

Your ESC limits you to 23 turn engines and above. But a there are some pretty fast 23 turn motors. The Tamiya Super Stock TZ/RZ motors are fast. That would probaly be a good engine for you to upgrade to. And gearing wise for those motors, I would say 23/58.

How are those GPM upper and lower (control)arms. I haven't heard to many good things as far as fitment!
How have they worked for you?
Also I'm conisidering purchasing the adjustable shock/spring, how do you like them?

I love the GPM arms, they work great for me...no problems at all. but im gonna replace the upper ones with adjustable arms so i can use my front and rear stabilizer bars. The oil filled adjustable shocks are great, i highly recommend them.

My local hobby shop has those ones in stock that I was thinking of upgrading and just wanted to get an opinion on them.
I'm almost done strengthening my suspension.
