Welcome to Club SAITO !
Thanks Richard, that is possibly the first 1.50 that Horizon sold, at least according to a lady who worked there at the time. The K&S tube is much larger than the outlet in the TH, it does not change the tuning at all. The 1.50 now wears the newer red trigger wheel and sensor. All these years have kept this picture of KMOT'S red Saito .45, to me it's impressive.
Here is a pic of KMOT's FA-120abc, and I think, of it disassembled?

OS made a .20 CI 4 stroke.
I powered a Pacific Ave with it. Learned to fly on it. I also powered a Touchdown mk2 with it. A big mean tree jumped up out of the ground and slapped it to death!

Yes okc,to me it was a shock to look at a still hot saito with no prop, bent rocker gear and fins full of tree bark.I treat all tall hardwood trees as carniverous at the strip, they can be for rc pilots and soft balsa tastes like scotch fillet to them, the 'wait a while' bushes are a bit kinder to your engine and you know what asphalt can do.

The Saito .65 arrived today by special courier, it was supposed to be here last Friday but for some reason it traveled from one end of Va. to the other. No biggy, it got here and that's what counts. It has an S on the right lug. As you can see, I already mounted a cast/revised .65 muffler and added a velocity stack. Too busy to run it today.
An FG 11 should arrive tomorrow as I talked about several days ago. I ordered a real battery for it from Tower, a 6 volt 1,600 ma NMH.

Toast, was running a 12 pitch prop and 30% at full throttle then there's this big boom and lots of dust and colour, even the servos got trashed, the tree never moved.Dave what's with the threaded extension for the new muffler? or is that how they come over there. What do you mean by filling up an 82 case and it will be expensive?
ps kmot's engines always look good.

Pete, that would be this guy, for a 65 to 100. I have a new .82 crankcase and back plate and a few other parts passed on to me by a friend. I am debating getting the rest of the parts. You know how projectitus is.

Thanks, I may use an 8 ouncer, I ordered a 6 volt 1,600 ma Hydramax for it. The instructions say 1,000 +. My wife says I have a free day tomorrow. Hoorah. A Bolly 13.5x6 will be the break in prop, ethanol free Gulf will be the gasoline of choice.

How did the genuine saito muffler compare price wise with a turbo header? some times i use some liquid wiring insulation out of a tube on the threads but not often,if you set the exhaust up with the proper flexible supports things rarely come undone.

Stock muffler was around $38.00 and the combo around $80.00
