that tamiya plug has to go. Get deans.
They are being changed, just haven't gotten around to it!
More worried with stiffening up the chassis.

Metal dog bones and cup joints would help.

That front bumper looks a little out of proportion with the rest of the car... it's huge! lol

What do you plan to upgrade?

I thought I would take some better pics of my TT01R... with a battery in it... Just got a brand new GP3000 battery and I'm yet to solder on some deans plugs. And I'm trying to get some high gauge wire so I can re-wire my ESC and hard wire my motor (thats why it's not installed).

OK, what if I wanted some mad speed and was interested in a 52T spur gear? Do they make a 52T that fits the TT-01? If so, where can I find it? Also, that would mean I would need a pinion with 28-31 teeth, right? Does anyone know if this is possible and where I would get these parts? Right now I have MUCH more motor than what I'm utilizing and I've got to get something going.

My brother has a TT01 with full ball bearings and it rolls so much smoother.

I havent seen a 52 spur gear in the right pitch, but there is bound to be one that will work. Call up your LHS, ask them if they stock a 52t 32p spur gear that is similar to the TT01 spur gears. And you shouldnt have to much trouble trying to find the right pinoin gear though.

You might be better off using a 55 spur gear (since they are readily available for the TT01 cars) and using a 28t pinion gear.

What motor are you using?

I've got a Feigao 540XL 6T Brushless ([link=http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id=V455779&pid=V293158]Feigao[/link]). It can handle 110A and I intend on giving it more than the 30A I've been feeding it. Where can I find the 55T spur and 28T pinion? Thanks a bunch.

why not try your LHS? if not look on ebay. Ive got a 55t spur just sitting in the package because ive got no 25T pinion or higher. I like the 58T spur and 23 pinion combo, but ive never tried anything else so im open to suggestions.

EDIT: I found this as well... http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=53552

The 52t spur looks to be the right pitch and it will work with the TT01 (I have a 58t spur gear that looks exactly like that).

I love the GPM arms, they work great for me...no problems at all. but im gonna replace the upper ones with adjustable arms so i can use my front and rear stabilizer bars. The oil filled adjustable shocks are great, i highly recommend them.
Okay great! Thank you for the help
I have the stock TT01-D Shock(oil filled)
My local hobby shop has those ones in stock that I was thinking of upgrading and just wanted to get an opinion on them.
I'm almost done strengthening my suspension.
I have the following hop ups to my TT01-D

Aluminum Propellor
Carbon Centre Piece
Rear Stabilizer
Front Stabilizer(Pick Up Tomorow)
Upgraded Tamiya Tie Rods,front/rear(Pick Up Tomorow)
22 Tooth Pinion Gear
Playing Around With A Few Spur Gear Options

Update!
Just put in the oil filled adjustable shocks like RueBreed's!!
I like I like

I like the idea of getting that 52T spur gear that's designed for the F201, but I can't find a pinion that will work to save me! Please correct me if I'm wrong. The TT-01 uses 32P for the pinion and spur. Is the same true for the F201 (G-Ped posted a link to the 52T spur gear for the F201)? I've been Googling like crazy and can't find the answer. Anyhow, if I were to try and use the 52T spur gear I would need at least a 28T pinion, right (28-31 to be exact)? Well, if that 52T spur is 32P like I think it is, then I don't think I can find a 28-31T 32P pinion anywhere. All this business about different pitches has got me rather annoyed because there are quite a few sources that say nothing about the pitch. All it mentions is the tooth count. My quest for mad gearing is driving me mad and if anyone has some answers please let me know.

Ive got a new problem, ive got glitching I think i know why...im using an AM radio because i dont have another FM receiver for my JR XS3 right now. Heres what happened, I was doing a practice run down my street and 40-50ft my tt-01 took a hard right and slammed into a car. I lost control because of the glitching. Im assuming the glitching is because of the AM radio system, but any suggestions are welcome. Im gonna buy a new JR FM receiver tomorrow.

Heres my current setup:

The glitching is due to the metal on metal contact causing electrical noise and throwing out the singal from the RX ro TX.

I wasnt 100% sure on what pitch the TT01 needs/uses. bIG mik corrected me saying they use a 32p spur and pinion. The spur gears look same, and you can usually tell from a picture if the pitch is different. A friend of mine gave me a 58t spur gear, it looks just like that 52t one I posted (with the same pin slot pattern in the middle).

Yup, you will have to use a 28-31t pinion gear. But I found this as well, no idea what pitch it is (email them to find out I suppose) http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=53923 The 29t pinion may be useful if it's in the right pitch.

Yes it will go away. Best way though would be a spektrum.
