The only fa62 i had was the old round cam housing one, wish i'd never sold it.

ps barry they should cut straight to the chase and ban knives, heaps more people get killed with those worldwide.Maybe our resident tinkerer jim will come up with a knife replacement invention,or should we all grow our fingernails long and sharpen them next time we sit down to a juicey steak?

Pete, do you know the glow equivalent to an electric 480, there doesn't seem to be a straight answer anywhere.

Performance wise this is a very slippery no struts goes like the clappers missile. Not very aerobatic slow roll rate etc.

I think the way they measure electric motors from one manufacturer to another is a problem, barry flies electric and knows a lot about it from memory.I research the planes and look at the upper prop sizes recommended then just put a big saito in it.Never had to add lead to the tail yet.I think the bush hawk is light at 36oz's auw flying weight? and 48" ws but it would tempt me to put an fa30 in it.If you check the specs of my rainbow which has an fa30 in it that may help.In electric form they say e power 46 and 4500 to 5000 mAh

ps the bush hawk on floats would be a definite starter for a saito 30

Jim, it appears that the length of the pump stroke can be adjusted to suit your needs
Dave, I did a bit of digging, the screw on that Carb is a Throttle Stop

but I guess you could adjust that accelerator pump by messing with the spring somehow, add shims or use a lighter spring

The late "conservative" justice of the SCOTUS Antonin Scalia on the 2nd Amendment.

Justice Antonin Scalia, states: “Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited…”. It is “…not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.”

“Nothing in our opinion should be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms.”

“We also recognize another important limitation on the right to keep and carry arms. Miller (an earlier case) said, as we have explained, that the sorts of weapons protected were those “in common use at the time”. We think that limitation is fairly supported by the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of ‘dangerous and unusual weapons.’ ”

The court even recognizes a long-standing judicial precedent “…to consider… prohibitions on carrying concealed weapons.”

I just ordered a Bush Hawk kit now I need to know what is the glow equivalent of a 480 electric motor. A Saito .30, I hope.
The 480 outrunners are 2s - 3s powered, 7.4 to 11.1 volts at no more than 40 amps, largest prop is 12x6.

According to Brushless Motor Cross Reference Chart the FA-30 should be the correct one.

my 1st engine dismantle was a 2 1/2 HP Clinton that was given to me. Of course I had to see what was inside and discovered to my horror that there were 2 cams located on the back of the case housing that needed to be timed. Just like Saitos, one had no way of seeing the marks as the engine was assembled. Unlike the Saitos, there was no provision for holding the cams in place as the housing was installed. I eventually succeeded with a successful re-assemble after a few attempts.

As the Earths crust was cooling back in my youth, the Maytag washing machine engines were very sought after by young hooligans making mini-bikes from 20" bicycle frames. The Maytag foot starters were the hot set-up, otherwise one had to keep a starting rope somewhere dangling from the frame.

Thanks AC, I may go ahead and use an FA .40a since my .30 are slated for a twin.

Dan, the one I took apart was a 2 stroke that ran for many years. The muffler was cast as part of the mower housing.

Hello,
I own a Fa-100 (just broken-in) and a FA-115 NIB. Would this qualify me to enter the club?

Now there's an opportunity for a real, controlled comparison of power output that could yield some real, qualified data. Provided the OP is an experienced Saito tuner.

Would this qualify me to enter the club?
I did with only 1 Saito, and it didn't even run, I just sque--ezed myself in. I have 2 Saitos now, and I am well known now as the town's beloved residential character, I have the FA 100 and a 100T,

Welcome aboard the boat !!

Yes but st-exupery was a rich french aristocat who could afford to be philosophical,a friend of hemmingway also, welcome.I have the first edition of 'wind, sand and stars' written in 1939.He went missing over the med in 1944 flying a p38 i think. If you hav'nt read some previous posts there is a bit of a friendly disagreement these last few pages on the relative merits of the saito 100/115/125.Since you already have an fa115 you score ten out of ten already

Made out of HDPE (high density poly ethylene) commonly referred to as black brute here.

From memory the thread pitch is .6mm you can also use small barbed garden retic fittings like this.

ps okc i always liked your sense of humour

The above picture is wrong, the 100 vent threads are not tapered as shown above. In previous post that is to say.
