Mexican Mauser you say? I picked up a small ring M98 1910 Mexican Mauser (FN) action a few years back. Thinking about a 6.5x55 on that one. So that's quite a mix, Mexican, Belgian and Swedish.

A new place to get gasket kits for our Saito engines. Horizon has discontinued most of them for the older engines. These are laser cut, good quality gasket material parts.

Sr that stock timber is beautifully grained. As you know that round has a lot going for it,it gets mentioned in the 'if you could only have one rifle' conversation around a hunting campfire lots.Be interesting to see how it comes together.

The wing is almost finished, It needs the leading edge shaped and the wing tips glued on and shaped, I hate doing either of those things. I did the stab and elevator and silver soldered the control arm onto the elevator joiner.
I don't think Adrian makes a kit for the FA 40a, but it's worth a look. I have a plunge router that mounts in a small table upside down, I will check out the bits I have and see if any of them would get the leading edge to close to the desired shape. The problem is that the router can remove too much wood in big hurry.

The barrel is cambered with a short throat for modern spitzer bullets. I will load it to modern chamber pressure and with a 24" barrel it will propel a 9.07 gram (140grain) Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet over 915 mps (3000 fps)

I have one of those, found out just making a sanding block to match the profile works better. For some reason I can never get that aluminum one to make an even edge. I use my little plane to knock down the edges first, then sand it.

One does nor need a different profile for every angle/radius.

Build what bruce and how big are they? i had a big set once, the second wife cut them off.
I'm only saying this because to me it is easy,i do it for a job. Those ribbed aluminium blocks you show are suicide to use on soft leading edges and block wingtips.
