Your got the 3racing conversion kit? Sweet. How is that working for you? I thought about getting it but decided not to and will just save up for the Team Losi JRXS Type R or Xray T2R if they ever bring it out again. This is what I am roling.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
The motor you have right now in your TT01 uses two small steel or copper beam on each side say north and south and they rub against the comm which is a cylinder thing inside the motor this reaction produces power. These copper beams are called brushes and when its time to rebuild the motor the brushes are replaced and the comm is cut. Same thing as if on your car you have to have your rotors turned and your brake pads replaced. With brushless motor systems more power in produced but there are no comms(rotors) to cut or brushes to be replaced. The big names in Brushless systems are LRP, NOVAK and Orion. Hope this explaination helps and does not confuse you more.

and mamba max m8 lol
Also they need hardly any maintaince like brushed motors do so u save money in the long run BUT you need very good batteries to run BL power or you will have short run times and not get the awesome power of BL power.
search utube for BRUSHLESS and you will drool all over the screen lmao

Well im new here but i gotta ask something. I got a pretty ok TT-01 but i know i need a new ESC since my stock TEU-101bk is crap. I got a venom fireball 15d modified motor and i need to know which ESC is right for me. Obviously it overheats and wont last long on runs but it would sure make it better by getting a new ESC. Thanks in advanced if you guys can help me.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
You will need a 15 turn or under ESC for that fireball motor m8
cheapest i think are the mtronic ones iv seen.
The fireball range are pretty weak in power and torque unto a well known make just to let u know i used to use the 21 double version cheap and cheerful.
But on that ESC u have now u could run a good 19 turn motor like i do
BTW welcome to the forums bro [sm=thumbup.gif]

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
definitely not.. its not the best but its great for a stock esc..its decent and built well. The stock tt-01 usually comes with a teu-101bk.. its only rated for stock 27+ turn motors but i've ran motors down to 17T and it still ran fine.. great little esc. i love using it

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
it runs like crap because it was only made to do 27T motors some are capable to runnign lower turn motors but 15T is way over the limit.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
This is my recently built rally TT-01. The main modifications are:
- cutting out some of the plastic below the suspension arms to allow them to drop down far enough
- using 60 mm oil shocks and soft springs. However, the springs are still too hard to effectively absorb the bumps as the car still bounces a lot. I 'll experiment more with softer springs and lighter oil.
- sealing the under side of the gearboxes with tape in an attempt to stop dust getting into the gear boxes
- using the Tamiya rally profile tyres
- using alloy gear boxes for strength
Enjoy the pictures!
