Barry that sounds weird but i heard of an fa125 owner who pulled the back plate off and found a small jenny craig doll and a packet of diet pills,no rubber band tho.

Barracuda a pic of the corsair with the fg90 fitted would be nice.

"Sure" ? Of whst?
At first when asked, it was reported to be an ABC type, he seemed pretty certain. After some discussion it seemed more likely an AAC. That point was finally made at the other site but the ambiguity remained here until the recent edit confirmed.

I wonder if the factory is now using the Seen Your Telemaster trick. The one where he uses a rubber band to locate the crankpin at TDC during assembly.

Stranger things have happened..,,

They can do without the pump perhaps..,.,,,,,,,
Especially as Saito seeks to trim costs.

But I am adding a positive case vent system to the 182

Is the Somethin Xtra the kit or ARF version? What engine? That is an old favorite.

Right now putting the finishing (rebuild) touches on my old Pica 1/5 Waco. Our club is having a "Twos" contest next Saturday. Putting a freshly rebuilt Saito 1.80 on it for now.
Tomorrow looks like a good flying day.
The Toledo Spl is charging up and a fresh gallon jug of homebrew fuel is set out.
It's an ARF. The previous one was an ARF as I wanted to try it out and see how it flew and didn't want to commit bench time on one. The one I have now I won at SIG a couple years ago. Love flying that plane, but it's expiration date ran out.

That will work out great as you add them and I remove them. Keeps everything on an even keel.

Got the kit back around 1999. Finished it off just like on the box cover. I had a YS 53 on that one.

I have had one mid-air in my flying career, that plane was in it.

So many planes that you lose and want to try again.. That one is near the top of that list.

I added the rear vent to the then brand new OS Alpha 56 and now the Alpha 56 II has it in the exact same place.

Ah-hah!
Thanks, I can always use the help at being funny

Rear vents are easy and cheap. There are better places in many cases.

have any of you guys burned O'Donnell's fuel ?? if so how did you like it ? give me the in's and out's, up's and down's ! it will be a 100 mile trip to pick some up, it would be a fun trip, the wife has this week off so we would have a good ride, stop and get lunch,

I like Wildcat, I found it to tune easily and give a good consistent tune, I know better pilots than me that love it, but it's had to find right now around Vermont, and I am having trouble finding it on line, some places want $30 to $40 more for 4 gallons, some places just don't have it in gallons or have 20/20

edit, I may have to pay a Hazard fee at Horizon but shipping would be free, 8 Quarts are about $99 for 20/16 car fuel, but I can't find it blinded for planes or helis on Horizons site !! crazy !!

Jim

https://fhsoils.com/product/rc-airplane-fuel/ AKA RedMax

Jim, I have used this a few times, I used the 10% with 18% syn/castor blend, the link is for 20/20. It's a very confusing site, it would probably best to just call them. I also used quite a bit of their Diesel fuel, great stuff too.

I left a note on fuel in the other thread. Placing a club order with Wildcat is an option.Get a bunch of members together.
I have been mixing my own. No confusion, you get exactly what you want.

Seems a bit small for the SSE. I fly with a Saito FA-72 and it could use a bit more.

The YS 53 and the Saito 72 are pretty close powerwise. The SSE kit can be built on the light side, lighter than the ARF. We often substituted lighter wood for many parts .

Also recall this was about 20 years ago when flying styles were a bit different.
