RE: Official DF-03 Ra Thread
Hey Guys,
Im almost done building my DF03RA. I got the impreza WRC 07. I love the car so far, but I been hearing some bad talk about tamiya cars and being able to mod them. I read your post, and it seems like some of you got some kick but motors in them. When I first bought the kit I wanted to rally it, but im leaning more towards the drift world for my DF03RA. Im not a noob, but not pro by any means. I have some questions.
Gear Ratio: I have several choices. Which is best gears for drifting on somewhat smooth surfaces? I'm runing 29t/75t.
Locking rear end: I been told to tighten the rear and front diff so much that it seemed locked. Should I do this, and how?
Motor: I plan on buying a tamiya 23t motor for now. Will it work with the stock ESC?
Decals: Does any one know or seen the decal set for Tamiya 58417? I messsed up with the side graphics.
Wheels: Will offset drift wheels work on this kit? I'm thinking .03mm offset?
Here are some pics of my car.
Thank you!

Nice job on the body.
If you find the decal set for the 07 Monte Carlo, let me know. I screwed up on the front windscreen decal.
I've been looking for it for some time and cannot find it.
I ended up just buying a 2008 hatch version body.<br type="_moz" />

Thank you! If Ican find the part number Iwill post it here. So weird because they sell all the decals for last years kits, but not the current ones. Well not all of them but most of the popular ones. I would think the Impreza is the most popular kit ever....

Surprisingly well. Much much better than a traxxas slash 1:16, but not quite as well as a tuned mini revo.
I don't really have much dirt footage so this (previously posted) snow bashing video will have to do;
