BTW
Probably best to implement the spray bar rather than eliminate it At least the part that functions as the needle seat.....
And thanks I may have to get you to take a measurement or three from your engine.

Sorry for the delayed response. I totally missed your question till just now! The brass tube is plain old hobby shop variety half-hard KS tubing. Bend was made with a home-made mandrel, nothing fancy. The turned in tip was rolled in the lathe but you really need a 6 jaw chuck or collet to support the thin wall tube without crushing it. The nut was made from free machining metric hex stock. Not real easy to find but I have a local source, about one mile from here if you need some.
Then there is this, https://www.amainhobbies.com/saito-e...220a143/p42602
It says for the 220, but the FG-30 is based on the 180 so a bit confused. One way I will find out for sure is to measure the pipe. The parts online show 15 MM for the muffler. I can get one, cut it in half and extend with brass or copper to fit.

Yep, I see.
The port threads on the 180 is 14.o x 1.0 and the 220 is 15.0 x 1.0 That is for a heavier walled pipe. The tubes used are usually smaller diameter.

Interesting, the muffler shown is for the FG-36. I will definitely need to measure the threads, but I think that flex pipe will do what I need. I forgot to look for that Slimline last night to see if it works on this engine.
Waiting for RC mail is very reminiscent to staring at the tree the day before Christmas. I'd stare at the mailbox if it wasn't 1/8 mile away.

Glowgeek, was it you that was interested in my HP 61Ri, check out my link, the guy has more than a couple of them, but they are older than mine, all original too, and $100 less than what mine sells for today, I paid $240, today they are $310,
make sure you do not get a boat engine !!
EDIT> if you decide to buy one make sure you ask about the front of the crank, the Plane engine in the link shows the front of the crank missing, make sure you get it if you buy one
EDIT> careful tho, he has a low posting and reply count, and a ZERO for trades

Twasn't I but they're pretty cool old engines. Nice for a vintage pattern plane. Wait, I have a Kwikfli III, hmmm, if it didn't have a great running 55ax on it already I'd be looking harder at one of those old slimers.
I feel your pain

I'm tellin ya straight now jim one look at that vid and you know they'd still lose a good ww2 dogfight if they could get off the ground safely.

Glowgeek, the FA91 manifold should be 3.60 mm longer than the 82's manifold, an adapter would be nothing much to make, don't forget the 100's Carb
sorry for the edit, I forgot to post the length
Jim
Saito Engines, know what I like about them, well they are Saito's
