I am suffering from a spider bite, the world is a little foggy and my balance is off, if I feel some what better tomorrow I'll give it a whirl. Thanks
As I mentioned above the ring for the 90-R3 was a snap.

That can be a problem with us closet drinkers dave.Got to the field early one sunday morning and started to put a plane together back to front as i was badly hungover.A few of the boys noticed and i said i felt a little foggy and off balance like i got bit by a redback.I got laughed out of town. The cure seems to be a massive bacon and egg toasted sandwich and a short shot of black sambucca.Hope you are feeling better soon, don't forget to use a small phillips to tweak the last keleo pipehead at the right angle while the adapters are loose and your done.

Thanks for the suggestions, I was beginning to think I bought a big round Rubic's cube. I'll try it again today and continue to avoid the bigger hammer.
Pete I was some disappointed in the 182 numbers, but maybe that big piece of maple lumber turns harder than I thought. I have a Grauner G-Sonic 18 x 6 on it now. It has old glow plugs in it right now, I'll change them to new Taipan's or OS-f, whichever I have four of. I may have four Sonic Tronics also.
I am selling the Misterbishi this am, I may take a shot at the GK 100 that nobody bought.
For the next few days Benadryl is my friend.

Should be doable with little more than ginger tips
Good to know the spider didn't get the better of you...,
.... yet.
I gotta look up that Benadryl stuff.

All fittings straight and squared.
Mission accomplished by using a combination of two that left the third one close, some judiciously applied thumb pressure brought the third one home. Thanks all.

Dave that's a pretty engine, I should own one, but prdably never will.
Dave, just remember, when you brake in that Honda engine, do it like a Saito, use a tier with the same width as the stock tier but has a smaller diameter

When I did my first one , I had been stung by over 120 honey bees! LOL
Okay, it was 10 years after being stung,

Guys, what was that Center Finder for drilling/mounting engines ?? it had a wire rope drive you twist (I believe) to mark the center of the hole
I can not find it at Horizons, I have to place a big order and I would lie to try/buy it
thank you, you Saito loving freaks/ my friends

Right now trying to decide on Laser cutters. Do I get a cheap Chaser(Chinese Laser) and get my feet wet, or do I jump into the deep end of the pool and get a Glowforge or Muse. makes my head hurt. I was thinking yesterday as I was going through all the parts for the SIG Liberty Sport I started at how easy it would have been to duplicate all the parts with a Glowforge. To do it with a Chaser I would have to import drawings based on part traces, turn them into vector files, the export them to the laser cutting software, and hope it all works.

I know, right!!!! Ran across a couple like that. A Top Flight B-25 ARF, $500. Didn't have the cash for it. The above mentioned 300, and a few others.

I ran into an issue with the collector ring in place, the ring is dead center blocking the high speed needle. I threaded the hs needle for a 2/56 screw and now can use a ball driver to adjust the hs needle. I'm also imbibing some Apricot Brandy to steady up my balance issue.
I like to simply stick one of those flanged socket head servo screws into the hole Simply secure it with the setscrew. You can then easily use a ball end Allen wrench.

What's the attraction to Keleo rings? Costs a lot, no power gains, doesn't allow the use of a standard hsn extender rod, can be a pita to install and doesn't seem to play nice with tricycle front gear. I hope it a least sounds better than 3 individual flex pipes.
If a fella made a conventional style header with a tuned collector would an R3 scavange? Ie do the cylinders fire sequentially?
Edit: Nevermind, sorry, I had a bad day. I think we broke a record around here for how many things need repaired in 24 hrs. I'll spare you all the details.

Did you get spider bit too?
Those Keleo exhausts are like little arachnid condominiums.
Yep, the sound is a main factor but really only at low speeds. Above that the rotary, especially small ones can be a bit buzzy.

OK here is what you do. Look at how long it takes you to finish a project. Add the time it will take to create the cut files and debug them when they didn't come out right the first time. Next figure the minimum amount of time you have should have left to build and fly airplanes in your life and divide it by the previous mentioned total. Now take the price of the laser cutting rig and divide it by that number. The time figures will need to be adjusted according to how user friendly the cutting setup is. Don't plan on it getting easier because you may have to relearn a bit between cutting jobs. Now you know what it is going to cost per airplane for each cutting setup. Now figure out which one you can justify.

I thought the prop figure you put up for the fa182 twin was about 1000rpm down on what you should get, have you re ringed it?
Gary...could you do me a favour? dave keeps sneaking his xr80 into the background like he likes to do with kermit the harley.Could you tell him if he uses a grey scotchbrite pad and plenty of coca cola the rusty rims and spokes on the xr80 will look much better, works on heavy harley chrome too, cheers mate
