I removed the stainless steel screws from the 50, I listened carefully and could hear the galvanic corrosion happening. I did not want the engine to fall apart in flight Wednesday.
Not to fret nor over-react. It has been explained more than once, in plain English. No worry in this case

Saito FA82 CR Mod
So there is one bug with this power pig fa82 using the 100 carby, it runs richer in the midrange than I'd like. It blows a lot of smoke and misses consistently. It's as if the slit profile in the spraybar widens (opens up) too quickly. It starts running too rich around 5000 rpm and continues rich all the way up to approx 75-80% throttle. Once past 80% it begins to clean up and around 90% throttle it's running perfect again. I have leaned the lsn as far as possible without coughing out upon throttle up from idle.
I wonder, would it be possible to install the 82 carby spraybar into the 100 carb body? Both the 82 and 100 carbs share the same hsn part number. I'll take a closer look tomorrow.

Dave, I'm not sure that galvanic corrosion is as prevalent in cast aluminum as it is with extruded, but with 5052, 6061 & 7075 extruded bar stock 304 stainless screws will lock up tighter than a nun's.......It doesn't take very long for it to happen either. I have no experience with stainless screws in cast aluminum.
Will say this, what I've seen is not that the two dissimilar metals corrode together or fuse together, no. What happens is the corrosion causes one or both of the metals to gall when an attempt is made to loosen the screw. Strange too is that you can't really tell anything is wrong for a revolution or two and then BAM! Locked up.
I suspect that the culprit is Alumina. A crystalline aluminum oxide. The stuff sandpaper abrasives are made from.

Royal Enfield made a batch of engines with rod bolts screwed directly in to aluminum forging. Many rods were destroyed on disassembly. The carbon steel bolts were fine. The smell is like burnt garlic.
The silver Permatex anti-seize worked well. Got to see plenty of those cheap accessory pack stainless screws come out of side covers with the aluminum threads.
There are plenty of anti-galvanic compounds in the Aircraft Spruce and Specialties catalog.

hey guys, get this, I have been cycling NiCads off-and-on since the late 80s, and I have not seen numbers like this before,
so guys, I have this brand new 1100mah NiCad 4cell pack for my hated Worlds Models P-40 with the smelly 2 stroke on it. well I conditioned the pack twice at 150ma.. on the 2nd charge it sat over night, so today I peaked it at 200ma and then started the discharge an hour later.. here below are the numbers for that 2nd discharge and the 3 charge, I have never seen numbers so close before.
A) 2nd discharge @ 200ma.....14260
B) 3rd Charge @ 300ma.........14270
I find these close results very interesting.
too add, it looks like if it's nice this coming Saturday the Worlds Models P-40 with it's smelly 2 stroke will have it's first flight.. you know, with all the problems I have had with these 2 ****y Wold Models planes I have to wonder if I should get insurance for that first flight if I can get insurance for it.,,,,,,, now the question is, would I be better off if the plane crashes, or if it flies vary well LOL

Lonnie if the fa100 and 82 carb parts have the same hsn needle part number, will you be buying the same cats eye spray bar part as well?
ps jim, can you really get flight insurance over there? if so i have a plan to disinvest you of that smelly two stroke you still own and whatever heli parts you still have in one hit, won't cost you a cent when the insurance company see the what can happen when you smoke and refuel at the same time.It's OK, you can thank me later.

As Jethro on Beverly Hillbilly's would say, I was greenin you guys, This place could could use a little levity at times. I did replace the SS screws with black alloy sockets head screws. My fly day tomorrow doesn't look promising, big storm coming in and lasting until Monday. We'll see.

Amazing, how many spare wings we accumulate!
So often "spare wings" have a funny story behind them. Got a few of them around here too.
I have a spare fuse. Did some shop cleaning over the weekend, got fed up with the busted up wing for a deweyville special that I cartwheeled on takeoff and snapped the wing in half. I decided to just toss it, and the busted up 4*120 that the wing snapped on. So I have this perfectly good fuse from the Deweyville. Maybe make a weathervane out of it.

Found the problem with the super rich midrange, the ultra copper I was using to make up the gap between the 82 intake manifold and the 100 carb was leaking. Apparently Ultra cooper rtv is not nitro proof.
Having that leak on the vacuum side of the carby was requiring a more open LSN for idle and the outcome is predictable. Found an oring that fits and problem solved.
Compression 11.75:1

Custom muffler
15% Nitro Omega
APC 14x6
80° f
80% humidity
Sustainable peak 9650 rpm
Richened to 9500 rpm for flight
Idle 1650 rpm solid
Transition is great
I may try adding a .005" shim under the cylinder to see what the difference between 11.75 and 10.5 compression is, if any.

Needed to make room for the new laser cutter. Found out I had a box of N-gauge train stuff, salvaged what I could, majority of it was water damaged and mice had gotten in there as well. The railroad layout I had there also got water damaged and wound up tossing it too. Half the track was corroded the other half damaged. Time to toss things that are just taking up space and will never get worked on. I contemplated tossing the Ultimate Bipe that I crashed, but other than cockpit forward and the ribs for attaching the wing pieces, the rest is OK. With the laser I can cut new parts out and rebuilt it.
