Yep, almost human

Not really unique, becoming a more common practice with later vee type engines.

IIRC, the original , 1950s Buick V8 manifold ports were bilaterally symmetrical. They were extremely popular transplant engines. My next door neighbor had one in his 1940 Ford Coupe . Interesting, the Buick resonators of the late 1930s were using Helmholtz resonator principles as well.

Has anyone run a saito on castrol r, sure smells good on the bbq.
Jim i was sweeping up in the shed and found this chook i won in a motorcycle club golf competition. If you ever need a replacement/test pilot for the saito powered p40 let me know, if you put it in one of your heli's it'll be bad luck

yup ran caster in the beginning that is what the old guys said to do then I was introduced to Red Max. It is probably the best fuel I have run. But a little hard to get so I run Sig fuel now

Pete, I don't have any flying Helis, no more and not again. but that chook would make a pretty good pilot for a 40% Pitts

Helis don't actually fly. They are so ugly the earth repels them!

Dave have you heard from jester recently? re the fa50 carb drama's. Maybe he's fixed it and just fainted with happiness, or he's gone on a huge bender ?

No sir, not a word, I almost had another 65 yesterday, a very early one, but no response on my offer so I canceled it. I have enough engines anyway.

Similar to the Bumble Bee, it can't fly but somebody forgot to tell it.

I still owe ya'll a test run of the big 180 and the 182. Too hot and I've been busy restoring a Craftsman YS 4500 42" tractor/mower. Moocho fun.

Hey Pete, anything Ramis or Brooks is highly revered round here.

Maybe Jester figured out it was the glow plug as I suggested from the start? Maybe not, but it's ALWAYS the first thing to try when idling issues raise their ugly heads.

No thanks Pete, I'll stick to Bass Fishing and flying Saito's. Dirt biking, car racing and drag racing and tractor pulling all had their time in my life.

This creation is still around, a museum piece somewhere in western Pa.

I am currently mounting the 182 twin on the Ultra Stick Lite. I filled the mounting holes with 30 minute Epoxy in order to move them. The original slab tailed one would be more suitable but I sold it.

Yes sir, and also this one.

And this one, the 18 x 6 Classic is a real fly wheel for idling. The one in this picture is a real heavy load but light in weight.

For those wondering how it's going with my crazy .80, I just got back from a family trip to NYC and found a box from Horizon on the porch. I'm going to rebuild the carburetor today and see what happens. Thanks to all who have helped me out. I can usually figure these things out for myself, but this one has me so frustrated.

Dave, when ever I get my 100 Twin in the air on my open cockpit 4 Star 60 for sure I'm goingn'a get a fancy prop for it

Pete, I have a little story for you about something strange that happen to me the other day.

so some 3 years ago the guy's house up the street was robbed when he was in Florida, so I have been keeping my eyes open since then. well I'm not sure what time it was but the other night it was getting pretty dark, as I walked by the back door something caught my eye, so I stopped and look, and there was something setting on the railing on the back deck. well now, no one in my family has been out there so I just knew that some one had been seeking around my house, so I looked and looked and I come to see that it was a soda pop can. well we do not have soda cans here so my suspicions started to rise,

so as I opened the door it happened, the can flew away

Jim
