well I can't really say. They don't give too much information on the batteries themselves and what kind of cells. They provide no max discharge numbers or another form of specification.. SOoo.. get one thats the most capacity in your price range... either 3300 would be fine

so what do u think is better
3000 reedy wolfpack
3200 trinity thunder
3300 trinity refrence
3300 orion rocketpack
or any battery around the $20 range

Matt,

Your specs are not out of the ordinary. Imho you may have a binding (friction) problem which causes the motor to output more power hence more heat. Check that there is no binding in your drive train and in your wheels. Everything should be spinning freely. You did not mention if you have ball bearings, if not then installing them would definitely help.

Hi guys, im having a slight problem with my tto1, it runs like s*^t of a shovel for say 10 mins then cuts out, something thermal by the looks of it as the metal part of the teu 101bk heatsink is red hot and after something cools it runs fine again

spec is.......

tt01 drift spec
stock motor rz
motor heatsink
teu 101bk esc
58t spur gear and 24t i think lol pinion
gp battery

how can i fix this so it doesnt overheat ? better esc ? teu 302bk ? is the gearing too high ? i dont really wanna change the gearing as i love the speed lol

help lol

Maybe your motor needs cleaning? Is it one of those that you can take apart? If not maybe spraying some motor cleaner through it might free it up. I got a pebble stuck in my motor one had to take it apart to get it out.

again thank you for the reply, the motor is brand new just been used properly twice

tried spraying some gt85 into it around the ends where the shaft comes thru, still the same

also, im using 24t pinion and 58t spur gear, if i changed the 24 to a 25t pinion would there be much difference in acceleration / top speed or is it not worth bothering with ?

If you change to a 25 your acceleration will be alittle slower but more top speed when you used the cleaner did anything come out of it? Was the liquid clear when it came out?

No it will go up, come on guys this is an R/C forum. Higher tooth pinion = higher top end ALWAYS.

any noises or anything.. when u spin it does it shifting as it rotates. Some motors exhibit this.. its part of the magnet's strength and various other components. the magnets are so strong that its attracted the armature with considerable force and causes that "juddery" feeling you get when you spin your motor

those are the ones you want if you can still find them. they have been gone from a lot of radio shack store.

Those are technically gp3300 packs and they are good cells for bashing and maybe club racing, but the capacity might be a little too low for competitive racing.

Just wondering what types of foam tires you guys run for asphalt bashing. I hear they last much longer than rubber tires. Any suggestion?

Hi everyone. I haven't been on here for a while now. But I got a question to ask of you all. Recently my Venom Fireball 15T Mod Motor just crapped out on me. Now I need a new one but do not know which to get. I'm pretty much looking for a decent priced motor and speed
