Welcome to Club SAITO !
Yeah well
i have seen these kids doing 3D stuff and the only thing it does for me is irritate the crap out of me on how noisy gas engines are when they’re honking them around like they do. Dam good pilots but all they do is make a bunch of noise with there ARF’s. Inches from the ground. The funny thing is , how people complain about noisy little glow engine’s and how messy they are and they are way quite compared to those big gas and don’t get me started on them high pitched whiny electrics boy those foamy electrics can really irritate somebody. Give me a nice quiet Saito any day.
Anyway I love to fly and push the plane tell it splats.
Then I can fly something new.

The ID is 8 mm , the lengh is 6.45 and the OD of the drive is 25.75.
Just pulled a new one from a brand new engine, and will be making one for that engine. It has no puller dents on it at all. Brand new and shiny.
Not using this one. Yours for the postage.

Sorry to take your time on mistake..
Anyone have SAI 040a27CL or 40a27
Preferrably 040a27CL since it is cheaper.

Jesse will be along shortly to give you 20 lashes. He needs to boil the noodles first so his has a wet noodle to beat you with!
Nuts,
You need a collet and hub for tje later 40a.
that is only a 7mm ID if I recall, and the hub is around 23 or 24 mm OD.
Don't have anything here. Closest is a used 46 hub. They are larger OD and, in a pinch could be used as-is or turned to the smaller OD.

SNAP! how did you know i was that good?
Dave (hobbsy) we are very lucky to be tuning and flying saito engines for fun and most of us can snap roll anything from a lightweight foamie to a scratch built b25 twin and then roll into a knifedge inches off the deck directly after takeoff. My question is...do you think we should lay off the grits a bit ?

No way, it's all about fun and we're having it.

Say Captain, how is that pink engine coming along or has life gotten in the way like it usually does? If I can get life out of the way I'm going to start sanding so I can cover this future pink bird. I plan on going down and ordering a couple of rolls of Circus Pink and some trim sheets to cover it. I sold a 5 meter roll of Solartex natural to fund the covering.
I have often wondered how many guys opened hobby shops to support their habit only to discover they are too busy keeping the store afloat to actually do any hobbying?

SAI40A27 - Taper Collet & Drive Flange [SAI40A27]
What happened to the original?

Well that sucks! I wonder how they lost it? It blows my mind how many people will spend that kind of money for an engine and the first thing the do is take it out of box and throw everything else away. Then they will lose the muffler, prop nut & washer, or some other part. If they had just stored it in the original box until they mounted in the airframe they wouldn't have a loss a thing and they would have what they needed to know to break it in and adjust it if needed. I guess its true you can't fix stupid.
Was he the detective who was using very early forensic techniques?
He sure did a good job on the man bunch today.
Once again, he made use of the facts which were on his side. The gang's fun was done.

Yessir,
I recall the series, I could not recall the name of the character. Brains or guns? Not mutually exclusive are they?
As medical examiner he could rely on others to handle the guns for him. As Paladin, he had to do it all. Usually both sides had guns, he was often outnumbered. At that point, it was brain power that tipped the scales.
The second series was rather short run as I recall.

Fisheye is the most fowl four letter word spelled with seven letters. It sounds like this engine is going to look as well as a Saito runs! I haven't seen the paint job and I'm already impressed. I'm glad I have a plane it will sit front and center and show it off.

Here is an upcoming project. This one arrived totally apart in a large plastic bag. Missing so far, one rocker arm, a pushrod and tube.
Just started cleaning and sorting. Very low time on it from all appearances
This will build into a Saito 325 , five cylinder radial. The dual plug version. Should be just right for a Travelaire Mystery Ship.
