Here is the update of my TT01-D

I have a tt01-D

I have upgraded the following

Aluminum propellor shaft
Carbon Upper Frame
Rear Stabilizer Set
Front Stabilizer Set
HPI 5 Spoke Rims
Slicks
Full Ball Bearings
Sport Tuned Motor
Aluminum Motor Heat Sink
Special Suspension Tunings
Adjustable Shock/Springs
Aluminum Steering Set
22 Tooth Pinion Gear
Playing around with a few spur gear options.

*Ordered my metal motor mount and picking up my Raven 15 turn with a new esc[8D]

Here is a couple pics, don't mind the dirt I just finished racing at a local meet.

Also I have some rare stuff coming in from Japan like the Nismo Z Tuned R32 GTR Kit from Tamiya coming in and some rare Japanese hop-ups for the TT01.

Well rare to the North American market, I'm waiting for my local hobby shop owner to e-mail me the links.
I will be placing my order within the next 2 weeks as he is going over there for some business so he informed me of a few things that he will be able to get and when I do get the links e-mailed to me I will post the websites.

You car looks like mine LOL[:@]

I thought I saw it in the Hop-Up section a while ago, I must have been seeing things as I cant seem to find it now!

I can take a picture of one if the lower arms if you want?

I'll take a few tomorrow for you.

I think they also come on the TT01D, as well as the TT01R.

Yea that looks like them. You need like a grub screw (but much longer) for the arms to change the setup, and like these little metal plates that go in a little indented section on the bumper parts. They're there so the grub screw dont dig a hole into the plastic.

Part numbers: 9805684 (Screw)
9808007 (Plate)

Foams last longer and have better grip.. Also are cheaper, for a basher foams are the best way to go no way about it.

I'm not sure if they come with the kit, but if they do, nothing wrong with having a few spares huh?

Ground clearance and or rebound stroke has a great effect on stability during cornering, acceleration and braking.

Ohh, and also one more advantage would be that your car is one step closer to the magnificent TT01R, which is worth a good 10 brownie points haha.

Thanks man.. By the way you gave me the Tamiya Item number.. not the product code number.

Oh well..

I'm thinking I'll just buy a brand new TT-01R. Comes with most of the hop-ups im buying, for only a small portion more.

Hy Guys

Just got my TT-01 built and running after having it in a box for a year (now i have to build the TA04R as well), took it out and had a ball with it

the only real upgrade i have is the Monster2 Co27 motor, and 3800 cells and man does this thing move. I have been reading this thread and i still dont really understand the gearing aspect maybe some one could post a link or explain it a bit for me

I am also looking for upgrades for it, i know i am going to need ball bearings for sure, but what else would you recomend for performace upgrades, not astetics (looks)

Alu. prop shaft, metal cup joints and dog bones and damper suspension.

I did some testing today with locked diffs and tires. I locked the rear diff, and tried it with drift tires. It was much easier, and it was easy to control through 'S' sections. With normal slicks, the front had a little less traction, and a little understeer at full throttle when turning. But the rear traction was the same, although if you pinned the throttle and turned hard left/right it would be able to pull donuts easily.

I'm going to try it with the front locked and the rear tommorow.
