The B of which I speak has the new style cam box crankcase, yours should have an initial on the right lug, we don't know exactly what they mean though. It's not likely that they mfr the same engine all the time, so the initials very likely represent a run of a certain number of engines of a given size.
Saito 82 early version.

Speaking Saitos I felt like the fa100 that was in the 60 size TF P-51 I bought was not going perform up to my "over powered" standards so I bought a preowned fg21.
What's the deal in the instructions for the choke? Screw in a rod and pull to choke, then remove the rod to run and fly? What? There has to be a better solution than that? Are you guys even having to choke an fg21 to hand start it cold?

Thanks, I guess I'll see when it arrives. The P51 has a very pretty 2-tone painted spinner and I don't want to use a starter on it.
Crunchy, did I say over powered? I meant waaaay overpowered. Heehee. Seriously though, It's not unsual for people to run 20cc 2 strokes or 1.25 4 strokes on this particular P51.

the 100 pulls the same prop and screams.
my 1.25 does it seem to run like that.

Mike, I received the 91, thank you vary much my friend ! I will run it on the bench with a 14X6 or 7, but on the ShoeString it will have to run a 12 incher to stay out of the grass, I would think the pitch would be 10 or 11.. I have to get a new engine mount now
thank you again, I will return the favor !!

A 125 will spool up a 16x6 as fast as a 100 spools a 15x6 and way faster than an 82 will spool up a 14x6. All three of those engine/prop combos wil peak in the low 9's using 10-15% nitro. Maybe something is not quite right with your 125? Is it broke in or newer?

Mike, the Saito 91 weighs 550gs, the same as my heavy OS 61fx (550gs). both less mufflers, and the OS muffler weighs more than the Saito muffler
OS 61fx with muffler......26oz
Saito FA91 with muffler..20.4oz
looks like I have to move my battery forward

Less wing loading is usually a good thing. In go fast planes it doesn't seem to affect flight behaviour much sans landings.
Your 91 with a 10 or 11 pitch prop on a Midget Mustang will be carrying some serious speed at idle on approach. Hopefully that mustang has flaps.

there are some .60 size Top Flight Mustangs with a Saito 100 in them, in my you tube link. that silver Spitfire with the Saito 100 iL Twin is in the link also. I think the Saito 82 will fly the Top Flight .60 size Mustang well if the correct prop is used. as I posted, a guy at my field had a TF mustang with an OS 65AX in it and it flew very well, the 65 AX weighs 497gs less muffler.

But.
I always use a starter motor. I don't have a lot of pride. Lol
