Welcome to Club SAITO !
Okie is looking for an engine (91 or 100) iirc
Lonnie, that 115 I gave away did need some attention.
My Feedback: (1)
swapping engines:
I sent Mike (FlyerInOKC) the FA82 I got from Capt, Mike PM'ed me today telling me he received the engine.
Garry, would you have another FA 100 Carb Body you want to sell ??? let me know.

Right now I doubt I can afford either one but that said I'm thinking the 100 would have an edge in the HP department but the 91 is a little lighter and shorter so it would fit a little easier inverted under a cowling. The .91 being older may be a little affordable so I would say probably the .91. If the price were the same I would pick the 1.00 because of the power advantage. I already have a .82 which comes close in power to the .91. Who was it that said all airplanes are an exercise in compromise?

I try to balance power according to the aircraft's weight, wing load, and drag with a healthy amount of reserve power to get me out of pilot screw ups. I prefer glow to gas in spite of amount of fuel glow uses.

A good example is I have a 1/4 scale Globe Swift project (AUW 21 to 32 lbs.) that shows a gas engine on the plan I will use a large glow engine to power it.
that’s exactly what I am saying the majority of the majority of the builders put 3 times the power that they need on a plane. Me included.
but I flew a under powered trainer this summer and it is humbling. I think if you can fly an under powered plane then you can fly anything.

That's where I'm at too. And if the plane needs nose weight I'll always opt to put in a bigger saito or an OS of equal displacement in place of a saito.
Thats what I was hoping to do with the Liberty Sport, but I built it too well for the Gemini as the tail did not come out as heavy as expected. Would have needed 7 ounces to counter the weighty 120. Had to settle for a YS 63S only because it fit the cowl, a Saito would have been too long.

As can be seen the Saito 60-t has considerable side thrust on the rockers when the valves are actuated. Does anybody have one where they can show me the stacking order of the washers/spacers for keeping the rockers in place. I took the liberty of placing the Teflon washers on the non thrust side and a metal on each side of each rocker.
Balance and power aren't good training challenges for me. But that's just me.
Out of all the planes I have built, only one was a poor flyer, mainly because I screwed the CG up badly. Almost had it down gracefully too, then it looked like an aileron went south and I lost it.
Old boy at the club once, he was not much of a flyer.
Asked if I could put this up for him and he would fly it for a bit then I could land it. Now I seen this plane fly a week ago and it flew ok. RIGHT!! This plane left the ground with it’s tail dragging I had to push the nose down to get the air speed up just so I could clime out enough to get it turned around and back to land it mind you I had just taken off I was 4 feet above the tall grass, how I managed to keep it in the air, get it up high enough so I could land it I will never know but I did. This thing was a flat turning none flying piece of crap Biplane that I have ever had this misfortune to get to fly. He ask for the transmitter and I said no I need to land it. I explained the situation to him as I’m bringing it in for a landing and he says oh maybe I should a left the other prop on.
