How much money do you wanna spend on it? I have a Spektrum servo and they're amazing, not cheap though at around £25 ($50) Futaba are also meant to be good and if you really don't wanna spend a lot of money, Acoms aren't all that bad either.

you need to lock your diff's and try to get pvc's on wheels - you can find those on ebay.

Hi guys i am new to this forum and new to the tt01. What i would like to know is what the difference between the standard silver motor that comes with the tt01 and the sports tuned motor that comes with the tt01d. Is it any quicker.

Yes it is faster. Look at http://www.tamiyaeurocup.co.uk/cars/motors.htm to compare the various Tamiya motors. The lower the turn, the faster the motor (but the more battery juice it needs). The standard silver can is listed as the RS 540-standard, sometimes also labelled as 540 J where J stands for Johnson, the manufacturer.

Ok thanx chrisestto1. Can you swap the standard motor out for any 23 turn motor with out having to upgrade the pinion and spur gear. Is it worth the upgrade or would it be better to do a bigger motor and change spur and pinion. Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou.

Ah ok so it will work with those spur and pinion, im only new to this. I have the standard tamiya ESC, I will need to upgrade this also wont i? If so what ESC and motor would you recommend. In turms of brand and models.

for bashing jr / futaba is fine.

stock needs no upgrade in esc, 19t you need to make sure it can handle it. tamiya has charts that explains these options.

you will burn that speed control with a 11T the most I have had on one is a 15T and it was blazing and went thermal, I wanted to see how far I could take it

What would be max i could go with the motor before i need to change the speed control.

I have several of those speed controls, I think its a lottery with them because one of them would never go lower than 19T, then the one that stopped at 15T, and some I havent tried yet, they still work

I wouldnt go lower than a 19T with that ESC,Im sorry but I like Novak been using them for years and had no problems but for stock or mild motors that stock ESC is good

I would go by what the manufacture says because of the warranty thing, but I think it can move a 19T might get warm but if you have bearings it will free up the drive train alot, and BTW welcome to the forums

Why thankyou, i am amazed at the level of knowledge on here. Yeah i do have bearings upgrade and an Auli prop shaft and that has made a difference.

I dont mate, just got into it. i mostly use it for drifting but i want it to be able to move pretty well when i want it to.

Those are always good upgrades, I still wouldnt go lower than a 19T but if you dont have the funds or access to a new ESC right away I would stay at 23T

Hey guys maybe you can help me out! I have a totaly hoped up TT01, its got all the must have upgrades + extras. Im finding tho that my ESC and Motor are getting kinda hot. Im not sure sure what temp is safe so thats what im here to ask. My Motor is a 19T peak racing and its reading 144* and my ESC is a Tazer 15T off the fins im getting 140-145* and the ESC it self is 100-110* Is this normal? Or shoulld i gear it down? i dont have any real wheels right now just a set of home made drift ones and these are the temps im getting just from booting it around in side my house. I do have a heatsink for the motor comming sometime next week i sure ut will help a bit.....Should i mount a fan some how to help cool it aswel?

Any help would be grate! Thanks in advance.
