Yes sir, it was a gift from Cap and runs nice and smooth. I did not have the cam support shaft grub screw tight enough so oil bubbled up around the grub screw. I think I mentioned that I gave it an autopsy. It's in great shape. I also cleaned the carbon from the muffler end plate holes. There was very little of it though.

Though not a factor, it was 70 and the humidity was high as it was threatening rain and did rain about an hour later. I'll run it more tomorrow and the 1.25 if I can squeeze it in.
well I dug a 4*60 out of my pile Friday and it is now Sunday afternoon. I think I am getting old I should have been done. I still need to install the radio. I put a another Saito 125 in just for Pete.

Dave, that 115 benchmark prop doesn't look right. APC 15X8 @ 8800 is more like it. Mine will turn one that fast on 15%.
Both temp and humidity have a slight affect on engine output. Barometric Pressure even more so but most folks don't have a barometer to reference.

I just spent the weekend putting new body mounts on my F350. how hard I say, is it to remove 8 bolts? Holy MOLY!!!! I wound up stripping out the rear interior to get to the cage nuts and hit them with a torch to get the bolts out. For uses some strong thread locker that tightens as it turns. Any way, now that the bad mounts have been replaced and all the door close nice again, and no more thunks and clunks and wiggles, I am happy to say, my truck is done. I wanted to spend the time tuning some engines, but maybe I can spend a couple hours after work this next week and see if I can get some of the ones that are hard to start running smoothly. The worst is the Pete Hate Special, the 125 on my Mustang which of course is inverted. Then see if I can get the YS63 running smoothly without flooding, hopefully the regulator is fixed and adjusted properly. I also have the 100 with the new bearings to run, and a 100 on my other Cub that needs to be cleaned, the AFO didn't seem to keep it from gumming up, and a valve is stuck open. Then the 72 on my Somethin Xtra needs to be taken care of, have to replace the bearings in it.
Stock muffler?

I just ran the 1.15 with a Xoar 15 x 8, I just ordered an APC 15 x 6 to get the skinny on that.
It was rattly at full throttle as if the Xoar 15 x 8 were an overload.
Max rpm at peak 8,215
Idle==========1,650, surprising with the lighter Xoar.

15% nitro using APC props try one of these.
Saito FA100
13x8,13x10, 14x7,14x8, 15x6, 15x7,16x4
Saito FA125
14x9, 14x10, 15x8,16x6, 16x8, 17x4, 17x5, 17x6
Not saying that all of these are appropriate for your plane but they all should keep the rpm between 8500 and 10k on the ground.

Just in case anyone is interested it is 4 Golden Knight FA-56s. The site is the new one the former owner of RCU started. I just shot my wad at the pharmacy so you have no competition here. Same guy has two more ads GK FA 180 for $ 250 and a GK 300T for $450
https://www.rcmarket.com/en/listings...stroke-engines
Siato fa 56 four stroke engines, with mufflers
$60.00 each
$200.00 for all four

Jim, it depends on which apc blade you're talking about. The gsonic is a close copy to the apc blade design of the apc 13x8 and 14x8 but has a much narrower blade than say an apc 14x6, 15x6 or 15x8. The gsonic 15x8 will not load the engine as much as an apc 15x8 imo.
It kind of threw me when my 82 turned an apc 13x8 like 600 rpm faster than an apc 14x6. Should have been the other way around but the apc 13x8 has that narrow scimitar-ish looking blade like the gsonics.

Dave reported that his 115 turned a Gsonic 15x8 at 8,400 while Horizon's bench mark for the APC is 8,800, did I miss something again ?
yes that APC 13x8 is a narrow guy, I bought one to try on my K&B 100.
