Most likely it's been several years since Horizon tested an engine. Their brag used to be that they used 30% No new engines have come out lately. Glowly speaking of course.

Capt. Blasch! Seen a lot of his vids.
That VQ P51B is actually spec'd at 60" WS and AUW is 6-6.5 lbs. Its a 40-46 size sport/scale model by looking at the wing planform. The saito 62 is bound to fly it with more authority than my H9 46 size P51D with 57-3/4" WS and AUW 6.5-7 lbs. Mine gets upgraded from a 62 to a 72 for this flying season. I want bigger loops and more speed than the 62 offers. Part of that is due to mine having fixed LG and larger wheels, lots of drag. I may upgrade to retracts eventually but I sure do like the simplicity and ruggedness of fixed LG.

I heard from our friend down under he would like to comment on the recent discussion:
Pete: I read a couple of your (Flyer) comments on the saito thread and laughed but glowgeek (lonnie) is the bravest, lets hope his wife has a good sense of humour. Dave seems to be digging in his own ditch again re buying an apc 15x6 the fa115 will swing that well into the 9's and my own fa115 really liked just about any 14x10 wood or plastic as well as flying with it's regular mas 15x8. Perhaps you could bring this to his attention mate

The props I'll using to test the 115 and 125 should reveal roughly where both the torque and hp peaks fall within an rpm ranging from 8k to 10k. I'll be testing with the following APC sport props (listed in order of prop loading)
15x6
14x8
16x6
15x8
17x6
16x8
The props are all from apcprop.com (no fakes). The few I was missing are scheduled for Sat delivery. We'll see, mail is moving slow.

I made a discovery yesterday, remember the package I said was in Alert status and missing? Well I was cleaning out and picked up a box with the mailing labels still on it. The tracking number was still on it. You guess i it was the missing package, the letter carrier failed to scan the delivery. I had it my possesion for a week. DOH! The second package is suppose to arrive today. Time to laugh and point at the schmuck!

Key it in to see what $8.30 gets when shipping a giveaway part.
Spent over $500 last year to ship out free items, looks like the shipping money buys a lot less this year.
Probably cheaper and less frustrating to toss the stuff directly into the garbage , they haul that away for free
Speaking of shipping, I got a text from FedEx yesterday that they delivered one of my Chewy orders. Well I was busy yesterday and never went to grab it. I go out today to get my other deliveries, and the one supposedly delivered yesterday, which was supposed to be a 35 pound bag of cat food. I couldn't find it. So I go to Chewy and look at the order, and realized I already got the order last week, I only ordered 1 bag. I read the FedEx email and it was for the delivery LAST week! They had already sent the delivery notice last week when they delivered it. Talk about confusion reigns, I don't know who is more confused, me, or FedEx, no longer confused on my part. Apparently, they only sent the notice to me last week, and Chewy didn't so FX resent it because I got an email from Chewy that it was delivered yesterday, when it was actually delivered last Monday. SMH

I read somewhere the USPS has put hold times in place at their regional facilities for first class items supposedly due to low volume and need to build up loads to make them more cost effective. presort items ie. "junk mail" are not affected. I think it is a ploy to get everyone to start using the more expensive Priority mail services or when they got dumped by Amazon it really hurt them.

The one thing that sets me back on my laser cutting is shipping. Trying to fit an entire giant scale short kit into a small enough package that doesn't cost $30 is difficult. I have to create my own packaging to get it within a certain size so as to not incur oversize charges. I think what I have now for a 7 pound package is somewhere around $28 to ship.

I don't think it is going to get any cheaper either. I have bought several short kits over the last year and the cost of shipping is a big complaint. I see what they charge and what they pay on the label its the same.

Nothing going out from here on out
