Reaction 54 Jet Kit
#4601
I had 71 flights on mine before I sold it. I know of 2 owners in between that time when I managed to get it back. It is being outfitted for this coming year so hopefully I can put more flights on it.

I can not claim originality for this color scheme. I saw a full sized Citabria in this color scheme and really liked it so I cut all the monocote to mimic the shooting stars theme. Turned out quite nice.

SCORE!
I had a Reaction years ago and have always regretted letting it go. Only fans of the ‘54 will understand my over-excited state when I walked into my LHS today and spotted the unit below, which I immediately recognized from this thread. I am now the proud 3rd (?) owner of this one, originally built by Mach 1 from Huntsville Alabama. It seems very well built with a fully sheeted wing and intakes. It’s in VERY good shape with the exception of considerable fading of the orange trim, which I imagine is due to having been stored in direct sun near a window. No matter, as I am stoked to have it and can easily restore the faded parts.

Thank you 😊
It has a K80 G1 on it, power to dry weight ratio is very close to 1:1, way more that enough, a K70 will be more than enough for this bird.
I usually fly her at round 60% of the stick and sometimes I go as low as 40% of the stick helping with rudder on the turns.
Landings can be supper slow with about 10% of the stick.

The engine has been checked, all good there, the fuel pump needs replacing I think, it's leaking small amounts of fuel, the fuel filter is clean, what concerns me is that the PW has gone up by 10 points, with that the idle rpms are up by 1K rpms and a few other small symptoms that all added indicates a possible fuel pump failure in the near future, so, I will replace the pump with one of my backup ones, monitor it close till I'm satisfied with its performance.
