RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread
Once I get my hubs on, I'm going to be all in my suspension for drifting. Any suggestions, I want to be able to adjust toe in/out and camber for my CS setup I'm attempting.

Boy, let's just color me frustrated with my E-10.
Problem? The steering linkage... well, to put it mildly, it blows.
Just consistently doesn't perform even up to the most basic of standards. I did replace the bearings, but now I've got to fiddle again with the steering linkage as it's just not turning. It's just too tight in the caps, the plastic gives, and on and on ad nauseum... The servo is fine, responds, but the whole linkage just isn't pulling as it should.
Wow... just, grr... [:@]

I enjoy my E10 no problems except for the HPI Locked Diff keeps coming apart on me. All the stock parts never failed me, hell I even got a 2nd one just for good measures.

I replaced my steering linkage right away. Just the 2 pieces that connect the knuckles to thesteering arms. Phmaximushas a post on the second or third page that shows what he did. I just used some 4-40 turnbuckles andsome ball ends from one of my other car's parts trees.Doing this solvedthe "slop". It corrected the alignment of thewheels (so they were both facing thesame direction)and it firmed up most of the "looseness" of the wheels (they still wiggle a bit). It was a cheap fix for mebecause I had the parts lying aroundbut Ican see how ur frustrated.
I don't have photoshop but u can see it pretty clearly here..</p>

Yah, I have emailed HPI about their upgrade, expressing my dissatisfaction with their product. But I've checked out the Yeah Racing hop ups and the Atomic as well.
There will be something new on the front end. That's for sure!

If u get a roller, rebuild it, thay aint the best from factory, it seems most people have problems with/from factory assembled parts. So it pays to really go overy everything and no newby mistakes help.
Jesterspeed, lol welcome to r/c cars, thay love to brake
& thay are kinda like a real cars, if trashed thay fail over time.
dont worry ive got 5 electric & 1 nitro cars waiting to be fixed that only leaves me the 1 of the e10s & a revo platnium that are in working order.
even need to fix a plane, helicopter & 2 boats. hummmmmm.... when will it end lol

The diff gear on my spool likes to loosen its screws under full throttle and the gear loses contact with the center driveshaft then I have no power to the rear wheels. It's awesome especially in mid drift.

Ok, found a set of the Yeah Racing aluminum steering linkage on eBay, bought it, and now I am waiting patiently for the package to arrive from overseas...
We'll see how it goes...

No I haven't yet. I've been bouncing out of town for work, and working on my real cars and motorcycle when I'm home. Luckily I have a backup E10 I got used on HyperDrift. When my rc bro gets back from out of town with the thread lock I'll fix the spool.

Got my Yeah Racing steering set, and it was even sloppier than the HPI set.
Oh well, I did figure out the turning problem... Sometimes, a noob is a noob. And you only learn by doing.
But at least the car runs and turns, so I can bash away with it.

CAN some one please tell me what i need to buy or get to convert my drift e10 to brushless, at the moment the car is stock and just parked on a shelf as its no fun at the oem speed, instead of going to buy a new car i am willing to invest in my e10 , i plan on using an available velineon system.

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread
A quick update on my machine. I put thread-lock on the spool gear's screws and it hasn't come apart me since. Now however I've flexed the chassis out of alignment and the center driveshaft doesnot make contact with the gear on the rear diff Now my backup chassis does not have any problems because the car is stock with the rear diff locked. It just seems my main chassis got a bit too much weight (I got aluminum everything) to haul around and the chassis gave out. Before attempting to transfer any hop ups I will be looking to either make a new chassis or re-enforce my second chassis with carbon fiber or graphite. I'm also looking into a Cyclone TC or TCX for an upgrade.
