They could stop a lot of it by putting a $1 tax on each and every incoming call from India providers and a couple of other countries. They need the customers support call center contracts so they reciprocate.

Pete i agree with your tappet clearances, use a cigarette paper to do mine cold as the gap only increases with temp. It's possible you mixed them up but i think no matter what, pushrods always/sometimes rotate and seat themselves during the initial run.

ps lonnie do you think that was a long post or three by some members about cats, fleas, ticks, burrs and legal weeds, perhaps an old fashioned afternoon screening of the 1980 movie caddy shack would relieve the tension when they see how bill murray dealt with mr gopher? it was an inspiration....
that'a some funny stuff LOL

My iphone has the unknown caller block on, so I get several "missed" calls a day. If important enough, leave a message. 6 calls yesterday, one legit that went through. 3 so far today, no messages.

Oh Dave,, you just started something with me there .. yes Sr, that's some dirty stuff those scammers!
, I have had that^ same scam call me 3 or 4 times in the last 2 months, but I get many other scammers calling all most daily for the last 5 or 6 years. yesterday I had 3 call by 1:00pm. I screw with them if I have time. boy do they get mad. I have learned a few new words, just can't say them correctly.

and you know it. I got to tell one whole story, the guy wanted me to get a drug from him for PTSD, wanted my insurance info. so I told him the whole story.

in very short.
told him the 1,500 pound work horse stepped on my foot and would not get off it, and I was yelling and screaming at the farmer in pain.
I went on telling the guy about how heavy and stubborn work horses are.
so I told the scammer the farmer got a rake and was hitting the horse but he would not move.
then the farmer got the bow & arrow off the wall of the barn to shoot the horse but the farmer missed the horse and hit me in the leg and I was bleeding all over.

LOL my wife on the other side of the table started laughing as I was telling my>>>> BS story.

and then the guy on the phone kept asking me when the doctor gave me the drugs (the same drug he wanted me to buy)
I took my time adding things to the story like the farmer went to call his son, and then some other farmer to help,,, all the time I was bleeding out on to the ground.
so after going on with that for 5 more minutes I then I told the guy that the farmer got a gun and went to shot the horse but the horse moves a little and the farmer shot me in the shoulder. so now I am bleeding even more.

yes yes the scammer was falling for the story.

again the guy asked me if that was when the doctor gave me the drugs. told him no.
so the guy asked me when did the doctor give me the drugs, and I told him in the hospital after the operation,
and the guy asked me if the drug worked for me and I told him "no, the drugs killed me"
the guy said but you are ok now, and I told him "no, I am dead" and I ended the call.

funny thing there, that scammer never called me back !hummm

I get all kinds of scammers calling me, humm another funny thing thO, every time I push "return call" the phone tells me "that the phone number is not in service"

I have a couple more scammer stories if you want to hear/read them.

I haven't gotten one forever but the fake Microsoft Support call gets a "I don't own a computer" or gets strung along by my wife to see how long she can keep them talking.

hey Mike, about that car warranty, I get that one too,, tell your wife to tell them she has been waiting for a check from them and it has not come, tell your wife to give them a fake reference number, and she can handle it from then LOL

The scammers are doing overtime at trying to fleece folks.
Plenty of on line phishing too. Especially targeting PayPal and Amazon passwords.

Modeltronics, your SAITO pipe is on the way. I did find a couple more salt-shaker SAITO mufflers this afternoon. Think I will try one on a YS-120 to see how it sounds.
Had a forgotten stash of Saito parts that I left in the storage unit when we moved a few years ago. A lot of new old stock twin cylinder parts.

hey Gary, do you have a couple 90 degree exhaust fittings you want to unload, I need 2 or 3 for my Saitos 91, 100 and 115.

life's little quirks; just when life has allowed you to slowed down a bit and lets you work on your planes, the wife throws in that she wants to change the layout of the house and add on a big addition. oh the pain the pain

I am almost ready to maiden the Chipmunk. I have it all together, and while setting up the flaps servo, they suddenly went full down and slowly every servo stopped moving. Apparently I have another bad NiMh battery pack, so will rip it apart and pull that out and put a LiFe in. Of course now I have to rebalance it.

No engine run up tonight though, Bummer

Thankfully happened on the bench and not in flight like the last one did, Crunched it for the Crunch.

Dave,

Here is my old , no flap Rascal 110. Just put a 150 HC Saito on it a few years ago. Left the cowl off in this pic during the initial sorting out. Heavy Lanyu 18-6 prop.
Rarely take it to the field unless I feel like napping during the flight.

Also have VM one of those Grate Pains Super Chipmunks. This one powered by an ancient FZ-120 YS . Another nice feature with YS is no nasty case vent plumbing

Modeltronics,

No reason for concern yet. Parts are just stabilizing a bit. Keep an eye on it.

Planning on a two wheel vacation real soon, my friends can contact me directly by email.
Jim, no more parts making. I gave my machinery to my son, retired from the day job.
Made stuff for a looooong time. Not making anything more.

Gary,
You should have got a box from me today and a QSL card. I'll send you a real QSL card filled out when I get a chance to work you on HF.

Just looked in the mailbox and saw your package. Plenty of opportunities there!
I need to read up on the Hall Effect guitar pickups, among other things.
Yes indeed, need to look into a sked on 40 or 20 SSB.
My sole late model is an Icom 7300. I only have dipoles at present . The Commander 2500 may help. I do work Texas regularly on both bands. Most of my gear is vintage, tube stuff. Only at this qth a couple of years but planning a tower in spring.
We went to the PO Wednesday, they were lined up out the door and only had one attendant present. After 1/2 hour in line she said her computer froze up. Busy yesterday so we made it this morning .
Package went out Priority.

Ma

Right now working on finishing this old friend

Very nice work. Did you happen to find any 120/150/180 sized Saito mufflers in the stuff you found, Thanks, Dave
