Scott.
Yes, the lack of forward airspeed crashed off the reasons.
Bulkhead cracks found after careful examination.
Requires careful recovery.
Thanks

Hello All
Well I have 6 flights on My Kingtech K-140F now and it is running well Plenty of power. The throttle response is very good and it's very nice to have when it comes time to land the F-104.

Glad it all worked out for you in the end ... great video, love the Jason Donavon at the end!!! Very Gay.

Tony, nice greaser landings ... I find that if I bring mine in with more speed its really easy to fine tune the landings When my rear leg fell out due to a loose pin I was forced to bring it in as slow as I could with full flap but was amazed at how slow it would actually fly.

Hi Scott.
Thanks regarding the flying I really love the way it's going with the K-140F lots more power and sounds great!
Yep not the most graceful landings for sure, and fast..... Well I have learned that you can slow the 104 down a bit more however it gives you a much lower margin for error when landing. Then there is the wing rock that starts out and makes life fun fun fun. This last Sunday the wind was really blowing, 25 to 30 mph, with gusts to 40 so the turbulence also made it a must to come in fast to cut through the bumps on final.
I like to open the flaps and Speed Brake feels great when landing.
Really different from an F-22

Hi Bob
Before the 1980s, T-33 was the only type of advanced trainer in Air Force Academy. However, in view of the long service and outdated functions of T-33, Aero Industry Development Center (AIDC) decided to replace it by developing a new type of advanced trainer. Evaluation of the plan was submitted for the first time in March 1975 with the U.S. Northrop Aircraft Inc. selected as a cooperation partner.
* Northrop Aircraft Inc. had once cooperated with our country for the F-5E/F fighter jet. At that time, they were also planning to design a new type of trainer called VTXTS for the U.S. Navy. A primary plan thus began in 1976, which marked the beginning of AT-3. The formal cooperation had been proceeding smoothly for ten months; however, the U.S. Government unexpectedly denied the cooperation project, which terminated our cooperation with Northrop.

Hey Tony
Awesome flying, I have a K-80 in mine. I cannot imagine the rocket ship it is with the K-140.
Like taking the J-79 out and putting in a PW F-100 in it lol.
I hear you on landing the F-104 mine does the same thing, im putting a 3 axis gyro in mine after I finish overhauling it. I don't want to fix nose gear mounts any more
Keep up the good work Tony!!!

Hi,Duke:
Don't worry,the K-140 is very suitable to the F-104(because my F-104 weight 12.5 kg,dry).After one go-around experience,I confirmed the selection is correct!
Regards .

Tony,
Congrats on the F-104! I'm VERY impressed, especially since your dry weight is over 27lbs. Just goes to show that there IS lift on this missile. I read that 2/3's of the lift comes off the fuselage, but then that would make sense as there is very little wing.
I've been flying my Avonds F104 under electric power and am currently converting it over to kero. As an electric RTF it was 22lbs, and of course landed at that weight too. It will have the new K100 in it if becomes available soon. Sounds like they have been released overseas so they should be here soon. I'm guessing my dry weight will be about 19lbs (it's 15lbs with no lipos/fan, etc).
I'm looking forward to the longer flight time, lighter landing weight, and of course the sound.
Thanks for the inspiration.....I never get tired of seeing the F-104! [8D]
