Hi Craig, thanks...

I first applied a dark paint wash to the airframe rubbed it back to leave the detail. I then applied some subtle airbrush weathering layering the colours to create a little depth. Ive recently been on an airbrush course which was useful for me to improve and gain some understanding as I was self taught up until now. I'd reached that point of not being able to improve without professional tuition. I've also been on a composites course as I've got some cool mods planned for my new A4

Sure I'll take a few pics for you... but in the mean time I basically cut 4 oval shaped holes in the nose, tack glued the guns which are made out of plastic tube then hysoled the whole lot in.

Are you planning to do a build thread on your new A4 in particular the "cool mods" learned on your composite course

Will be starting the build of my new A4 shortly so most interested in your ideas....not planning a removeable nose like the Cougar's are you? be great access on the A4.

Hi Rene, That thought did cross my mind but I'm going to focus heavily on weight reduction on my next A4 so splitting the nose will most likely add weight. There will be no speed brakes, the 180 will be replaced by the latest generation 140 from Jets Munt which is light, powerful and very frugal. The main Mod will be slats, these will be moulded from prepreg carbon and cured in an autoclave while all the formers will be carbon along with the leading edge under the slats, I'll be using prepreg carbon which will allow me to make extremely strong and light components.

I thought I'd mention this photo as a few people have mentioned the model looked a bit skewed and it does... I didn't notice myself until I posted the photos which is another good reason to do these builds online and on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TheLittleJetCompany?ref=hl
The left tire was flat and the right oleo a little stiff which doesn't help but I thought I'd look at it again. The nose cone doesn't locate to center so I'll take a bit off the slots and it should cure it coupled with the other bits. Thanks to everyone who pointed it out and if you do see something that looks a bit odd please post it as I wont be offended.

Hi Alex,

Nice fit out. Did you use acrylics or oil based paints for your wash?

Another question....I am not familiar with the functioning of the UP gear and door sequencer. How do you achieve the required delay in timing....does it just rely on the tuning of the needle valves in the valve block?

Yes, I use any water based paint I can get my hands on, I just thin it to give the desired prominence of the final wash. Then highlight areas with the airbrush.

Yes you just adjust the needles on the valve to change the timing the second valve is needed to keep the nose gear doors open instead of closing like the main gear doors.

The install has now been finished with JR DMSS X-Bus running though v02.2 Royal SRS software. I'm just waiting on another JR 731BX receiver that I'll position in the fuselage and she's ready to go with the JR XG14.

Thanks to Dave W at Motors and Rotors who helped me with the DMSS stuff.

Most of the time only heavy/slow legs need any adjustment, the valve works on pressure build up and that fires the next sequence in the shuttle. My DJ Cougar with a UP2 and UP4 didn't need touching. If your cylinders leak through the sequence stops and it just vents air...its not a faulty valve! Like Alex say...UP cylinders are brilliant & my favourite valves. Pleasure on the DMSS, its proving to be a great system.

Can anyone help...

The instructions say set the CG 245mm from the leading edge, what point did you guys measure it from? The wing panel leading edge, the intake root or the end of the intake? Theres a good 60mm difference so I want to make sure I set the CG in the correct location.
