Its very sad, there are very few posts over the last week or so. I fear the conversion has taken its toll on the membership.

As I feared and predicted. There are a lot of users in this forum that are just barely computer literate. Throw a few quirky problems at them, and they'll never figure it out and just give up. Some of them have been on the edge of going to other forums anyway, especially after TOM, Jody, and Antique left....

There's a big green banner across the top of the screen where you report your problems. You just have to scroll up there.

Funny, I don't recall ANYONE from IB or any moderator here saying
"Here it is guys, the forum update is complete, this is exactly the way RCU will look and work for eternity."

If your house is a mess, but is also on fire you really do need to prioritize...
Just about every complaint I've seen has either been fixed or is being examined...
At the bare minimum now you can actually post (with pictures even) yell, complain, etc.
I still say the site works better than it has in the last 4 years, and is looking better by the day.

Anyone figure out how to get the order of comments to follow the original question in the "linear forum" mode? I would like to see the question before the answer, Yes I know some like the latest comment first but I like the old way,

At the top of a thread there is a blue bar with one of the selections being "DISPLAY". Open this one and select "linear"

Does anyone know if the Private Message is working? I've sent two or three PM's to people that usually respond, and not gotten responses.

Thanks,

I have heard other people complaining about that. Some have said they received PMs but contained no text. Heck, maybe that was you. Lol.

You have to go into your settings and set it to keep your PM's. The default is to not save them.

Well today I'm seeing something new. Maybe it has been there longer but I just noticed it and it is ......... Karma Feedback! WOW! I just got a warm fuzzy all over about that one. The old rating system seems to be gone forever but we got a new system in its place.

The new RCU does seem quite stable now and my old hard headed self is adjusting.

Now if we can only figure out how to use the Karma Feedback.
I am sure the powers at be will let us know at some point.

I don't think it is complete yet?

The "Like" icon should be in the lower right corner just above the thin line?

"Karma Feedback " 0??? I had 665 points!!

Is it me or can't one put pictures in Private Messages?? I just searched for a way thoroughly, and other than posting a link to URL to a pic, which I can't and don't want to do, there seems to be no manner in which to attach a pic to a PM. That sux because sometimes people write me asking questions, and as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words...."

Also, we need an icon at the bottom of a thread, to leave that thread and go directly back to the same forum. I know, there is a forum jump at the bottom, but that is not nearly as convenient as a direct back to the same forum link. The way it is now, you have to go back to the top of the thread page, then find and click on the forum you are in to get out of that thread and back into the forum list of threads.

With some VB sites when you click the back arrow it takes you back to the threads list and refreshes the screen.

The Karma Feedback you see under your name appears to be complete. It is Market Place related and not forum post related.

If you click on the feedback number which for most everyone is now zero, it will take you to a new screen where by you can relate your experience in purchasing from this individual.

In that case that should not even be there. It should only appear in the market place where a larger majority of us don't even go.

The "REPLY TO THREAD" link is not working, so I can't post pictures again.

Still bummed about loosing my 665 "goodie points". And I have no "Karma". My guru says that is really bad....

I used to spend too much time on RCU. Now I find the site almost useless. I'll stay a while longer but if it doesn't improve significantly, I'll see ya.

I feel your pain about your points, 665 wow that's alot. It took me over 3 years to get about 19 points over the default 100.
I see in the settings there is an "Enable" likes feature. I wonder if that is what we may have here at some point. Likes instead of points. Some of you guys had a lot of points though and well deserved. It sometimes does take a lot of time and effort to do research for questions that can often be answered by just searching yourself. But that is a whole other thread.Lol.

Well I am not sure what you are using the site for but I have no problem using it. Are there bugs still, probably, but I can still go read the threads and post on what I find useful.
