Just flew it this past weekend! Still my all time favorite little pattern plane without a shadow of a doubt. It always gets attention at the field. People want to know what it is and tell me how weird/Wild it looks. Lol 😆
Currently using 4s 2700mah 25c batteries and getting 7 min of any kind of sequence you could possibly dream up. Very happy with the plane and setup!

Yes I think it is a good deal. However the airframe is quite simple (but elegant). If you analyse it you get a box fuselage with turtle deck, flat plate stab fin and ailerons, and 9 rib wing panels on a tube. The canopy is mounted on a simple box frame. It's going to be pretty easy to cover too. There are plenty of canopy's at Tower that would work. I understand that most people would rather ARF than build but there are still people around who would like a nice woody project.

A really nice looking and flying small pattern plane!
Blake, IIRC you also had a HK Arcus. I guess the Musette flies much smoother and precise through the pattern sequences, but could you share your opinion? I find the Extreme Flight Vanquish also in the same class, although a tad heavier.
Maybe you can team with Jason and roll another great pattern video Best regards to two of you from an avid Clik!-fan!
I also would like to build/assemble one myself, if any plans or kits were available.
Perhaps a Musette biplane would be also really nice flying. And it seems it is already designed and built! You can check this video out:

Still playing around with this Musette inspired design. I really enjoy the design part of aeromodelling. Profili Pro makes short work of the ribs, these are ready to be laser cut. I used E168 12.45% but with flat plate ailerons. I did 2 versions of wing construction. Changed the styling so that the only real similarity is the span and construction type. I wouldn't call it Musette which is a rather bucolic French bagpipe from the 17-18th century. I think I would rather call it Shakuhachi a sophisticated Japanese wind instrument. If I go any further I will start a new thread.

I would love to see this blown up to a 60" size. Some changes I would make are listed below.
-fatten the fuse 2-3 times
-airfoil the stab
-install the t-can in the top of the fuse behind the canopy (like the new 2m pattern designs.
I'm still flying mine and just for the heck of it going to order another one just to have one sitting in the closet. For anyone even thinking about one of these I can't say enough about how happy I am with mine. I will do my best to get a buddy to shoot some video for me and post it. It's one heck of a little plane and the quality of construction is the best I've ever seen on a small balsa model.

AMA District 3 Championship with Denkado Musette mono/bipe
In a spur of the moment decision i decided to go compete in our district championship pattern contest. Being that I’m no longer actively flying Pattern i thought what a better test for my little pattern practice planes than going head to head against full 2m pattern aircraft. The weekend proved to be very windy reaching peaks of 20 knots direct crosswind with very thermally conditions. Of course the planes did get bumped around as that is just what Mother Nature
was giving us to fly in. I didn’t practice or even know the pattern but i was going just in the spirit of participating and seeing old friends. I hadn’t flown the Bipe but only 2-3 times since it’s been built but i said “why not”. I got to the contest and did my best to learn the Aresti for the 2018 Masters AMA class. Do to the weather we only flew 3-4 rounds. As that’s all the rain would allow us to fly.
Here are are some pictures from the event. We had somewhere near 20 pilots and flew through some very challenging conditions. I had a lot of fun flying these beautiful little Pattern Aircraft and they really were well received by many local Pattern enthusiasts.
I ended up in 2nd place and was extremely happy with that being that i decided at the last second to go and didn’t know the sequence at all. Most fun of all was spending time with old friends and making new ones! Here are some pictures from the event!
I’d like to say thank you to my sponsors Hobbywing and Hyperion Batteries. They have the highest quality products the R/C Industry has to offer. I appreciate there ongoing support for 2018 and for years to come

So, I'm trying to find a place to order this plane. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I just lost my 2m pattern ship recently and thought maybe this would be something I can fly while I save up for another 2m plane.

Hiroyuki was very nice to deal with when I ordered mine. Please keep in mind they are hand made to order, but well worth it once you see the quality.

USA Distributor for Denkado
Hi there, I am the official USA Distributor for Denkado Aircraft. I have 2 Musette monoplanes scheduled to arrive in June time frame and an in determined number of Musette biplanes scheduled for delivery toward the end of the year. Please email me for current pricing. It fluctuates frequently with exchange rates and the rising cost of materials and labor to build these terrific models. My email is [email protected].
Thanks, Blake Hilson

Hello, I am very interested in this aiplane. I have been an (auto)CAD user all my life. I was wondering if this drawing is made with actual measurements of the Musette ?
Thank you very much in advance for you efforts.

Absolutely beautiful! I desinged some in my day but this plane's design is just a master piece. Would/could you please post some detailed photos of the canopy construction and attachment/locking mechanism? Would be very grateful. Thank you for post the beautiful picture of this absolutely wonderful plane.
