Here is a picture of the wing as completed so far. I have pinned it back to the board until the leading edge sheeting dries completely. I did this as a safety precaution just to make sure the wing stays nice and straight.
This is all for now. The CA fumes and balsa dust have won the fight for the moment.

The rest of the wing is really pretty basic. Applying the cap strips and the sheeting in the center section. The only two things to watch for is to make sure which side of the wing you are working on when you do the sheeting and to make sure that you only put cap strips on the outside 4 ribs of each wing panel.
Here is a picture of the bottom of the wing sheeted and cap stripped.
(Ask me how I know about the cap strips!!![:@])

Here is a picture of the completed wing minus the covers.
Really not a lot to talk about here. The build is pretty basic. Paul is nice enough to give you a layout of the covers on the plans so you can build to it.
I did go ahead and cut a slot out where the Carbon Fiber tube will pass to make it easier to fit the opening to size later.
(BTW: No, I don't know which Beer that is...... I had lost count by then![&:])

That looks great Harry!!! Builds pretty quick huh? You might want to cap strip the spar on the outer 4 bays just to give the monokote something to stick too....

Thanks Paul,
I'll tack the additional cap strips on tomorrow. Then I'll give the wing a good finish sanding.
Yeah, it really doesn't take that long to build. I'm expecting the fus to go together pretty quick.

Jnjackson,
No, that's not your fus. But I can see it from the bench!
You can take the Redneck out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the Redneck!

Constrictor,
I got the pins from Hobby-Lobby (the RC Place, not the Home Craft Place).
I love them. They pin easily to the building board and they are easy to remove.

As Paul said in an earlier post. We need to add cap strips to the top and bottom main spars for the covering. This is easily done, but it is not mentioned in the instructions. The main spar on the left has it's cap strip added, the one on the right will be next.

The hatches are next. Paul has given you plans for the hatches on the main plans. There's not much to them, just be sure to get the grain going the right way for strength.

Then you add the triangle stock to the trailing edge of the wing and sand it flush with the top and bottom of the wing. Put on the rib tip caps and sand them flush with the wing. You can also go ahead and finish cutting out the slot for the Carbon Fiber rod at the trailing edge of the wing. Since you have all your sanding equipment handy, you might as well go ahead and prep the wing for covering. Here is a picture of my completed wing.

Here is a picture of the triangle stock sanded flush with the top and bottom of the wing. This is pretty basic for experienced builders, but I am including it for the people who are new to building.

Here they are 5 minutes later. The ailerons have had the triangle stock added and are now ready for sanding and shaping.

Man Harry... You are blowin' and goin'!!!!
One more note to the other Burrito builders.... The landing gear block holes are off on the latest batch of motor mounts... Make sure to plug the back hole with 1/8" dowel and redrill.... I'll post a pic soon as I'm back in the shop.....

Man, thats a sweet looking design and a dang fast/clean building job! Paul, how many different profiles have you now designed and kitted? How much is the Burrito for the kit, is it a short kit?

RE: Weather Stink?, Favoritie Team getting Trashed?, Build a Burrito!!!!
I had to go to work today and I also had to go to Des Moine with the wife.
So, my building time was SEVERLY limited.
But..........
Here's the completed fus. The motor mount/carbon fiber rod are not glued in place at this time. That will happen after the fus is covered and the wing installed.
There's only three things it needs before it's ready to cover. There is a piece up front that I've got a question for Paul before I put it on. The fus needs some tristock at the hinge line and sanding. That's it. Easiest fus I've ever built.

BTW:
There's only one piece of 1/4 x 3/8 bracing that needs to have an angle cut in the fus construction.
And here it is........

Here is the completed rudder. A little tristock on the hinge line, and a hit with the sanding block is all it needs now.

Shortman,
Paul has kitted two profiles that I know of....The Taco and now The Burrito.
The Burrito is a full kit. It contains all the wood you will need to build.
I'm building one of the first 6 kits available. Sorta a Beata kit. So far there has been no shortage on the wood. And with only the horizontal stab and the elevator left to build, I don't suspect I will be short any wood.

Now ya'll know why I get Latch to build my stuff. I know it's gonna be built right. Plus even though he takes a while, he will probably finish it before I finish my 33% ARF.
Don't be in no hurry Latch, the YS63 doesn't need a new home... YET!
