Just to let you all know if you ordered a 29% Katana from Aeroworks, the boat was suppose to arrive the 19th, and they should start shipping them next week sometime.

Just spoke to Aeroworks and the 29% Katana's arrived at their shop yesterday (5/25/2004). They're here.
No idea when they will be shipped, but I'm sure they have a lot of them to go through.

Brian you going to have that bad boy going for the Springfield Open house? I can't wait to see it in person. Maybe even talk you into letting me get a little stick time.

Hey Chris....
I think it all depends on when the plane arrives. I ordered mine in Toledo, as you know, so I'm not sure how far down on the list I am or when that means I'll be receiving it. Wayne figures two weeks to build (after his) and break in, so I guess it's possible that I could have it in Springfield, and you are REQUIRED to take some stick time.
My intentions are to maiden the plane in Springfield. I have bad luck here in Bloomington with first flights on airplanes. The full-scale runway makes me feel better.

Brian,
Sounds like you and Robby can maiden your 29% Katana's at the same time.
I spoke with him today and it seemed like he was going to get one. Especially since he just got a DA-50.

That is going to require Mr. Geffon to wiggle the sticks if you want an "all out 3D" video. I will be following Chris Puckett's flying standards requiring one foot in altitude for every dollar.

Change of plan this year Brian we are going to cut it in half LOL. BTW that rule only applies to me flying my aircraft. All rules are out the window when I am flying someone elses so let me know when it is my turn to wring it out. Can't wait to see you guys fly the poo out them birds. I think they will be great combos. Whod a thunk Brian and Robby would be twinkies

CCDAVE,
Did you order before or after the Toledo show?

Wayne,
I ordered it before Toledo.... I believe it was the first or second week of March...
How is everyone planing on outfitting theirs?
I am planing on using these componets:
DA-50
2 Futaba 148 PCM Receivers
HS-5945's on all control sufaces
HS-225's on the throttle and choke
I am still trying to decide if I want to use 2 rudder servos... Who thinks 2 5945's is overkill for this plane? Keep in mind I am configuring this plane for 3D....
I will be interested to hear what everyone is planning on doing.

RE: 29% Katana-S ARF---Aeroworks!!!
I saw that my credit card was charged on Friday, meaning only one thing....she's on her way my house.
As for outfitting:
DA 50
Menz 22x10
Futaba 149 RX
Futaba 9451's all the way around, dual elevator, single pull-pull on the rudder (indended for 3-d, or something that resembles 3-d)
Duralite's on the RX and the ignition
If my calculations are correct, my three foamies, my replacement Extreme Flight RC Edge 540 Profile, and this plane should all arrive on the same day, leaving me with the dilemma of building all of them during a Chris Puckett-style all night working frenzy, or staying married....

RE: 29% Katana-S ARF---Aeroworks!!!
My brother is an attorney and can handle a speedy divorce.
OK, now that that is settled,
I think the only plane you need to concern yourself with at first is the Katana. Get that thing RTF then do the rest of them.

Brian this is how that works. If you are going to do it Puckett Style you should just bring it to the Puckett House. The hanger is all cleaned up and ready for a 29% Aeroworks Kat. We can build friday night saturday and then fly it on Sunday. Lots of room here in Rantoul.

Mine should be here soon also. Equipment is, DA 50, 22x10 Menz, Tru Turn 3 1/2 spinner, JR8611 servos, 9202 on choke and throttle, Air Wild Arms, Titanium pushrods, Rocket City Horns. Still in debate what to do for a muffler or tuned pipe, thinking the long Tuned Pipe thru the fuse, or just the standard muffler. Have not made a choice, any input here if you guys have run one of their pipes would be appreciated. Cant wait to get the darn thing.
