Regardless of this apparent miscommunication if you wish to provide direct support to your customers here on RCU according to the same guidelines and rules that all other manufacturers have gladly agreed to we are more then happy to provide this forum for you and our members as I've stated all along. The direct support forum cannot however be a repository for general discussions on wildhare products. It is for direct support.
We are (as I stated in another post) looking at the feasibility of offering vendor forums for discussions but some of the problems associated with that need to be addressed first so we aren't jumping into it quickly or blindly without proper consideration.

Well, I joined the 'Wildhare Club' last week... I pre-ordered the Edge.... Here's my current setup plan...
Wildhare Edge
brison 3.2 or BME 50
4 Hitec 925's (2 on aileron, 2 on elevator)
2 Hitec 945's (rudder)
1 Hitec 5475 on throttle
2 TBM 2400 Li-Ion with 6v regulators for the TX (might use the 2400 Fromeco Li-Ions)
1 1650nimh for the ignition
Heavy duty switches (I have JR's, but might use the reliawitches from Fromeco)
Tom's fiber glass landing gear
CF wing tube and tail tube from TBM.
Dave Brown spinner (or might give the world models spinner a try).

So far I've tried the 22 x 10 Mejzlik, 22 x 10 wood Bolly, 23 x 8 wood Bolly, 22 x 10 Menz S. For 3D work, I really like the 22 x 10 Bolly. Great pull at low rpm, and horizontal speed is still fast enough for IMAC stuff. Turning 6700 with the DA50 and Slimline pitts.

on another subject Im getting the Da 50 for my wild hare where do you think i can find a 23x8 Mejzlik I was considering a 24X8 or a 22X10 but i want grunt also breakin should i get a 22X8 for that as planed would like to keep from having to many props as it is now i have everything from a 10X6 to a 14X8 in both plastic and wood. I take it the 23x8 Mejzlik is plastic?

this prop ? is a real bugger I know my glow engines and as rule ive ussed wood on the 2cycle and plastic on the 4 stroke if i ussed a wood on my 4 stroke it would ping at high rpms and the plastic props would not rev as high on the 2 stroke but this is my first gas motor so im relying on the more experianced. isnt the magic# here 7000 rpm's?

You can try Gene Payson at http://www.troybuiltmodels.com for the Mejzlik props...not plastic...carbon fiber. Very stiff. Heavier than the wood prop of the same size, so it won't spool up as fast. Nice prop but a little more expensive than wood, just keep that in mind so you aren't suprised.

My opinion is no. It will have more to do with the type of performance that you want more than anything else. I use both type of props, wood and carbon, and so far for 3D I prefer the wide blade wood props. The prop must have a very stiff blade for the best performance, so keep that in mind when you make your prop selection.

MY setup is my 17lbs. (even) WH Edge powered by a DA-50. I tried the 23x8 Mezjlik and it flew the plane ok (as long as the plane was moving). However, it would not pull out of a hover with any type of authority. The 22x8 NX was a much better prop here flying at sea level.
And I think [awaiting approval] means we are being censored. Same thing happened in the now defunct Pro Bro forum.

Well it looks like our "WildHare Club" is off to a good start.
Thanks to all who are flying in to Hanger! You all are a great bunch
of guys with help and info that is much appriecated by many!
I got a chance to fly my Edge today " 50' No wind lots of sunshine!!
I've logged over 300 flights with this plane over the past summer, and
it continues to be my favorite. I started to practice 3D flying and this
plane makes you look good even when you'er not.
Just a note to Brison 3.2 owners, this engine flys this plane great. It
doen't have a lot of speed pulling out of a hover but it has enough power
to get you out of trouble. I've notice a singificate increase in power over
all after 50 hrs. of run time. Just be patient and you'll have a very good
engine. Brison states that it takes 50 hrs. before the engine is broken
in. Mine has over 50 hrs. and it keeps increasing power a little more
than before.
So keep the info flowing we have a" Winning Thread"

As for wood prop choices, it kinda depends on what engine you have. A Brison 3.2 has a love affair with a 22-8 MSC that was made in heaven. The same engine with a 22-8 or 10 Mejzlik will "rip". The DA guys like a little more length that the Brison's it seems. In the carbons, to keep the same length and get close to the same performance you will have to go up a step in pitch. Unfortunately, this makes for a faster plane in the flats and the downline.
The Menz type props all seem to measure less than the length they were sold as, so that may have a lot to do with the "longer" props the DA guys are using. Though Wild Hare handles the BME line of props, I have not had a chance to try one yet, so I can't say anything about them.

Do any of you guys know what color the pink pinstriping is on the Giles? I think that it's Ultracote deep pink, but I'm not really sure and I don't want to order the wrong thing.
